Anyone any ideas on where Sessegnon fits in all the plans?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Probably alongside Unsworth and Joshua King
Interesting side point, PEH agent is nine other than Pini Zahavi an old friend of Levy!

Does he play same position as Winks? Hopefully Winks will then be relegated back to the bench. Jose is at least addressing as a priority it seems the midfield, which is by a countrymile the weakest part of the side.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Latest news, Winks to be made captain
There was report the other week Winks wants out IF PEH signs. I would expect him to stay and fight.
Sessegnon was a strange signing, he's still living off a season at Fulham 3 years ago.
Cut and run if you get the chance.

Yes he plays in the same position as Sissoko
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That`s OK, just need then to buy another midfielder to replace Winks. Both need upgrading anyway.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Should be a good signing this. In a position we need, prem experience, a good age, leadership qualities and better in the tackle and on the ball than our current options in deep midfield
----------------------------------------------------------------------
100% agreed
now for back up CF, LB, AMC, RB

Can't say I think he will be he midfielder to save us. Always thought Romeu was a decent player though.
That said, the club do seem to have identified him early so they clearly see him as the answer. Or part of the answer should I say.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He's on Levy's list of "Players with 1 year left on deal so we can get a bargain"
While there is merit in targeting players like this, you hope the balance of quality vs value falls more towards the fact he is exactly what we need rather than very good value. But you can never be sure with Levy.
I put this down as a 6.5/10 signing. Slightly underwhelmed if i am honest but he's not a 'highlights reel' sort of player so maybe his qualities go under the radar a bit. From what i have read it sounds like he has good leadership qualities and if he can play a truly disciplined roll then may be the likes of GLC and hopefully NDombele can play with a bit more freedom.

Talk of a link with Habib Diallo from Metz, French league.
We desperately need a back up to you know who!

Yeah, I think it is around 6 on the scale of quality and impact.
The bonus being PEH won't be needing to adjust to the pace of the league!
Let me know when it’s official and I’ll update the tranny thread.

Hojbjerg is the sort of signing who will improve the balance of the midfield. The role he'll play will hopefully free up other midfielders - Winks, Lo Celso, dare I say Ndombele - to be more effective with less defensive responsibility. So even though Hojbjerg himself may seem like an underwhelming player on his own, the true value of the signing will be in (hopefully) giving other players a new lease of life in a 433.
I'm pretty positive about this one to be honest, and I hope it's a sign that Mourinho is moving back to the formation that served him so well in his earlier jobs.

Well, that's just 1 above what I gave the player
It's 9/10 in terms of signing because we have been starved of transfers that we think make sense in recent memory
Love the title now...As the saga typically rambles on...Levy made!
We haven't signed the player yet OP !
But premature right now

Fees agreed, so I think we've doubled to about 47.15%
Chelsea, United and Arsenal will have made a few signings each before we get this one done.
Thought you were getting a decent deal until I've just seen the deal is actually 25m not 15m
