No. I think he'd take less money from us knowing that he could invest that lump sum and earn more from the investment of it by having it sooner than he would otherwise have had it if he were getting paid weekly/monthly (over a 2 year period) Its really very simple.
The third year of the contract isn't really that relevant in relation to his contract with United. However, it does mean that Sanchez can secure another contracted year of playing football and earning money. Which might not be the case if he were to stay at United and suffer a serious injury.

Back to the op. Glad he’s off our wage bill. It didn’t work out, and it was a costly mistake.
I’m also glad that he’s not getting any more money from us in any sort of payout.
