Karius?

posted on 6/8/20

Not a chance we'll sell both Lovren and Matip without buying a replacement.

posted on 6/8/20

the only player i couldn't find a buyer for is Karius

If you know a club willing to offer 12mil for a reserve keeper let me know.

we will see. They are rumoured to leave/ already have left.

the 100mil in transfer fees will be cool but the agent fees to get shut of shaq and karius will be large.

probably best not to believe any old rumour

Looks think doesn't it.

Not sure what they'll do. Perhaps wait until January again.

No way will Matip be sold without a replacement. Shaqiri might, we already have a replacement or even two if we decide to keep Wilson.

Only areas of concern for me are backup to Firmino and Mane but then we won the CL and league with the same concerns with Origi/Minamino filling in.

Ive just seen some stuff in the Athletic saying City are well in for Joao Felix and Martinez at Inter. Coutinho going to Arsenal. Chelsea have Werner and possibly Havertz. Utd getting Sancho.

All those players are VERY good at football. I've also just read the board have totally said to Klopp the club needs to sell to buy. This won't work out too well for us at this rate.

Let's not get all panicky about ending up 6th

It's like rafa's last year. Someone will come along now and say old soto was a great player but the warning bells started hammering when it was leaked we only had 4mil to replace hyppia and in strolls kyrgiakos for 1.5mil even though we acting took in nearly 9mil net having sold alonso.

That was after the global crash but here we are after a global pandemic and seem to be one of the clubs without a penny.

Would just love to know where it all went

posted on 6/8/20

Oh Im not panicking, I still reckon we'll win the league next year too as theyre an incredible group, but there's something to be said for not only signing good players but also ensuring our rivals don't.

Joao Felix would be a huge risk but Werner and Havertz look nailed on successes to me. Sancho too.

Imo some clubs are acting like nothing has happened and you can really tell how they are funded.

The rest of us have to dig in here as there will be another surge before long and we just have to keep the thing ticking over until the vaccines come.

The real world is facing massive unemployment.

City are rubbing uefa's noses in it, Chelsea are laughing at fire's ban. They are not spending revenue. The rest of us have to account for agents fees etc.

We will have 11 men plus a few subs next year, no cup runs allowed. If thry stay fit we have a chance

posted on 6/8/20

just chuck out the youth sides for the cup games again, im sure klopp was planning to anyway

posted on 6/8/20

If Klopp can get a tune out of Jones and Elliot, although it's far too early for the latter imo, then that would be a great help. Probably better off than having Shaq and Lallana tbh.

I can see Wij leaving, Origi too. Grujics stock should be pretty high too. If we do sell then perhaps we bring in more than just cover.

posted on 6/8/20

in regards to sales isnt that going to be tough getting good fees since everyone bar oddly funded teams have little money

posted on 6/8/20

If we add up the fees,

Karius is actually linked to someone but it's highly unlikely 6mil.
Matip is name your price silliness to psg.
Lovren already gone gives 10mil.
Wilson was a 25mil player 12 months ago. Now 15 maybe.
Grujic is a 10-15mil sale at best.
Origi rumour is 17mil.
Shaq is a 10mil player as well.

100mil there

10mil is all we want to offer for Lewis.
Cb links max 10mil.
Don't need a cm no matter how many thiago links are made.
It will be sarr imo.

posted on 6/8/20

Yeah I like the look of the Sarr transfer, it's a good fit.

I think Thiago could be on if Wij does leave and I can see no end of clubs being interested in Gini.

I know nothing of the Algerian cb who we're linked with but he'll probably just be solid.

We tend to more more business than other clubs in January and some clubs could really he feeling the pinch by that point so might grab a bargain on a first team player then.

the main issue with windy is his contract so I don't know what he wants par se cos there's only one way the lad is going and thats down.

if he wants to play and needs to be told he will before signing or what have you ok but if its a signing on fee the tough.

thiago v windy is a nice theory but I cant see it.

sarr is a classic.moneyball signing. no bad stats, not bad fitness record, can play across the front line in theory.

half the prem doesn't rate him. perfect.

so thatll be sarr mane salah & keita at afcon

posted on 6/8/20

didnt realise watford paid 30mil for saar either, theyll probably want another 10 on that and considering we pulled out of the werner deal its probably too much for us currently

30m

Hes given Watford a poor return in that sense.

posted on 6/8/20

He's had about three different managers already at Watford, I can't imagine that helps. I quite like him from the little I've seen and we often buy players who do well against us. £30m would be about right I reckon but it would be no surprise to see Edwards get him cheaper or maybe even sell one back the other way. Wilson would make sense, him and £10m or something daft.

In 2022 yeah. 4 transfer windows by then.

posted on 6/8/20

as in you think we'll buy another attacker or one of salah or mane wont be here?

posted on 6/8/20

The question about watford is not what they paid but what they now need to get back as they've been relegated.

It won't be easy but we will see if it's real or no.

has somebody reliable even mentioned anyway?
