I take 200mg of Sertraline everyday. Have done for years. 😞
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We've perhaps not seen eye to eye on here much but I truly hope they work for you.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Cheers dude. I don’t think they work but my missus. Says they make a huge difference. It’s a big dosage so absolutely wipe me out and struggle to concentrate but far better than the alternative.

Been trying a bit of cbda recently to see if it helped sleep. Seems to relax me quite a bit without the psychoactive thc hit(oh how I miss you). Had a headache all day the other day and it beat the crap out of paracetamol I’m dealing with it

Cheers mate, sounds awful.

It is what it is. There is proven genetic factor involved. You can trace it back on my fathers side.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I get it but still.

Does knowing where it comes from help in anyway?

Sorry, questions questions questions, ignore me!

It's one of those things. We will never know whether the massive increase in mental health issues was down to covid lockdown or cos facking Liverpool won the league.

It took me years to realise that my depressions were part of bipolar 2 as I associated bipolar with my sister's bipolar 1 with it's manic and often psychotic phases. It helps rationalise it when you're well. But when I'm depressed it's like being hit on the head with a hammer. You're brain stops working properly.

I've had drug induced mental disorders for over 25 years now, double stigma! The amount of GPs that look down their nose at you when you mention that drugs (mainly LSD and MDMA) are the causes of your issues is quite stunning really (and very sad). I'm lucky enough to be able to afford private health care now.. I dread to think how my situation might have spiralled out of control if I had just given in to my first GP who treated me like something she had stood in.

Yikes; and I thought my one serious freak out was bad.

Yup. Heard a lot about housewives microdosing mushrooms to help them cope throughout the day. Both seemingly have pretty good effects in terms of help treating these things.

You should have a play at editing and production/lighting/sound even if you don't broadcast them. I get obsessed with that side of things.

When you feel a little better, have a think about the things that get you down and see what you can eradicate / change.

I was having a chat about that to a good friend yesterday, who went to an expensive retreat in Amsterdam to dose Psilocybin for PTSD related treatment. He swears by it.

Hi!

I'm a compulsive gambler since around the age of 16 and I'm 32 now. The mind takes you to dark places whether you like it or not! Addiction is ridiculously scary and hard at the same time. It affected my mental health over the years massively. I've been to GA for the last 8bof those years and have relapsed half a dozen times. Today I'm 9 months clean from the illness. I finally realised I had to make changes to move forwards. I've cut down drinking, stopped smoking, eating better, talking a hell of a lot more and attending regular meetings. I think the more positive things you do, the more the mind is clearer. I love getting out in the peak district and just getting my head clear. Above all talking about your problems is massive thing to do plus you feel good with yourself afterwards. Reach out and take a leap of faith.

Much love on your battles with your mental health.

Glad to hear you got help. My brother has lost more than £200,000 on Roulette Machines over the years. I have other family members who have had gambling issue too and friends of family who have lost houses through gambling related credit card bills.

Well done.

It needs serious investigation, along with cbd.

The govt I think need to legalize weed for everything, recreation the works, , but tax the shiiit out of it. They’d. Make them heaps plus it’s potential health benefits could be better investigated.

His eldest son has severe mental health issues(Psychosis, and paranoia) related to abuse of cannabis. Which is part of the reason for his fathers trip. So we need to be careful i suppose.

It's horrible illness. The only way I can function is by attending meetings and cutting out all the horrible things that go with it. It's never been a financial thing for me, it's always been a mental thing.

Think education and talking about it is a massive step forwards. Hopefully they'll get the help they need. The zoom online meeting has helped me massively too! I'm far more confident than I've ever been throughout the 8 years in recovery.
