Rangers should have bitten their hand off for £16M.
Lille have signed Johnathan David for £27M, I will be amazed if they also buy Morelos.
After his recent performances I can see Freddo's value going down not up, Rangers may be stuck with him and him with Rangers.
I would bite their hand off at £16.5m.
The way he is playing at the moment he looks every inch the £1m player we bought three years ago.
Morelos has already more than paid for himself with his goals in Europe last season. He played a massive part in us over achieving by and generating a huge sum of cash which wasn’t budgeted for.
Good luck to the board in holding out for more. But it is definitely time to move on and focus on the future with Roofe and Itten.
£16.25m is a great deal for an overweight uninterested liability👍
...plus what if he gets a serious injury over next few games!! £16.25m pays for all the players bought so far, and still £5m left over. I really hope the board know what they are doing - suppose we just have to have faith in their stance. I'm sure however that their accountants will be saying.....better the certainty of £16.25m now than the vague possibility of £19m in the weeks to come

Would bite their hand off at £16.25m - would even drive him there myself.
Not keen on playing brinkmanship with Lille - they could easily sack their interest and we're left with an unhappy player.
Take the coin - pay off the fees for Itten and Roofe and perhaps look at bringing in a creative midfielder which we desperately need.
Much as I appreciate what Alfie's done for us I wouldn't knock back that amount for him (if it's true).

The supporters saying 'grab it' are not looking at it the way CEOs will i.e. we think the offer(s) will still be there in 2 weeks, £2-3m extra in 2 weeks is great business in anyone's language so worth the risk to hang on, SG is paid handsomely to manage the player and squad through whatever scheite pervades around AM etc.

On the face of it, seems to be a daft decision. However, may turn out they've played a blinder and something approaching £20m is offered.
Can't help thinking they're unduly influenced by the Dembele transfer to Lyon and seeking parity however justified.

Can't help thinking they're unduly influenced by the Dembele transfer to Lyon and seeking parity however justified.
