Why cancel it? UEFA would be absolute stupid to cancel any either EL or CL for this season. Massive lack of income already, so why not try and recover some finance?

Definitely tainted, 2 legged ties in front of hostile European crowds takes a much bigger toll mentally. This is kids’ stuff - Real weren’t interested last night, they clearly fancied an early holiday before another grueling season kicks in. I imagine many other clubs will throw it as well.
Just like the last third of the Premier League then?
This champs league def needs an asterix. It aint even in the same format ffs. Playing games less not playing away from home and city have home advantage as they never have fans going to games anyway

Use of 5 subs and having a drinks break where the manager could give the players fresh instructions was also a big factor.

Yeah definitely. I’m just glad we had more points before the suspension of the PL than any other team managed overall to make it valid.
The whole f*cking year needs a massive asterisk next to it.

I admit it’s not the best way to finally win it . The asterisk chat is annoying though, we’re lucky have any football on.
Could be a full lockdown again next month so there may not even be any football.

The CL will be really hard to win this year, hardest it has been probably with real quality match ups over 90 min and no home advantage. If any fool thinks Barca/Bayern isn't a top quality match up deserving of the competition they need to give their head a wobble.

It makes the competition very different. I think it’s fair though, with the exception of the most recent round of fixtures being finished months after the first leg.
Nobody really cares who wins the CL this season, tainted competition that means nothing. Virtually the equivalent of the intertoto cup to whoever wins it.
Huge achievement or the winners, all those games in such a short space of time. Obviously some teams got beaten easily on the way to the last 8 but those that are there deserve it and the winner will be true champions.
Don't think City should take Lyon lightly, to beat Juve is never easy, Barca Bayern and City should be the strongest but Atletico are hard to beat over 90 minutes, although a two legged tie should see a stronger team beat them pretty comfortably.
