Did he dislocate a face muscle pulling one of his looks?

I kind of feel sorry for him in a way but he doesn’t have the ability or the injury to warrant that latest contract.

Put up the curtain and load the shotgun

Maybe he isn't injured and is subject to a bid?
Wouldn't be surprised if he went to. West Ham, Newcastle, CP type team with British manager

Subject to a bid . Tesco don’t bid for employees.

He was offered a new long term deal simply because it made him look like an asset on the balance sheet (even though he's a liability in every other measurement). Ed is loathe to let players go on a free transfer. He hands out new contracts like confetti, as it conveys the financial message he wants to send out. But in footballing terms, giving him a new deal was a disaster. As was Mata tbh. Another who keeps getting new deals for reasons not linked to performance. Rojo too. The list goes on

We need to be more ruthless. No point keeping poor players if there are no takers.

Phil Jones was all set to make a playing comeback this week.

He's been in full training for a while, but unfortunately got injured again.

He was having a post training massage, but unfortunately the massage table leg fell off and he fell onto the floor and suffered a bad knock.

We were all surprised that he got a new contract. I have a feeling he'll leave us and hardly get injured again and find some sort of form. Just look at Evans, he's became injury prone here, left and has done well at the clubs he's been at since.

We do nerd to bring in CBs as other than our first choice 2,the others pick up injuries quite often.

It’s unlikely we’ll find any takers for him.

Everton love taking United’s cast offs, get them on the phone!

He needs to be sold.

Ed and his sidekick Judge (who deals with player contracts) really are quite clueless in this area.

We couldn’t get rid of Jones on a free if we wanted to as no one would want to take him on.

In reality Jones football career will end as a professional .

Maybe we could donate him to medical science

I can’t think of a more injury prone player United have ever had.

Owen Hargreaves?
Anderson?

Hargreaves had one injury as far as I can tell.

Ando is a good call.

He didn't manage to get back from that injury. Kept breaking down. Should have retired from football really.

Maybe his bonus is bigger by keeping him on the balance sheet?

Football is a minor distraction to "businessmen".

Don't forget Schweinsteiger. Yes, he actually played for us for a bit in between the physio appoinments. Hard to remember. A shame we couldn't get such a player in his rime.

He stayed fit for the 1st half of his season at OT. He was fit the next but Jose excluded him. That was quite strange actually.

Hadrian’s major sidelining had very little to do with injury.

And we are scraping a bit here trying to include him and Hargreaves as being injury prone. They both had one specific injury that they never recovered from.

Jones gets different injuries at a regular basis. To me he defines the phrase injury prone.
