I can’t think of a more injury prone player United have ever had.

Owen Hargreaves?
Anderson?

Jones has been here for 9 years now. The others didn't stay as long.

Hadrian’s major sidelining had very little to do with injury.

And we are scraping a bit here trying to include him and Hargreaves as being injury prone. They both had one specific injury that they never recovered from.

Jones gets different injuries at a regular basis. To me he defines the phrase injury prone.

I’d agree with that. Tuanzebe looks like he’s heading in the same direction which is a shame

I had totally forgotten that Schweinsteiger once played for us!

Early on he played quite well. Them his knee went again and then Jose came.

Shame really. Four years earlier and I think he could have been a major player for us.

I actually think our medical team needs a refresh.
We've become a very injury prone. Even in SAF last few years there were occasions we had players out of position because we had a defensive crisis or a midfield crisis. Look at the Lukaku situation. If it's true then it means that we're failing at some of the basics you would expect from a top notch medical team. You'd think for athletes a top tier nutritionist is a must.

Lukaku was a fat waste of space who invested more energy in making excuses than he did to being in match shape in his final year at United. Though I do take your point that we get a disproportionate number of injuries and there have to be question marks over fitness training and the medical staff. Fitness has long been a problem, which would obviously lead to the knock on effect of more injuries

4 years earlier and Bastiaan would have never joined us though, Bayern are usually pretty good at knowing when to move players on.

Won’t it be Jones’ testimonial season next season? What a legend!

We will never know. I was just musing really.

Read the article on the BBC website, came to JA606 to create an article to express my frustration, but thankfully there was one already created.

I swear, what is the difference between Phil Jones making a career at Manchester United and someone living off the dole?

To think the club made a decision this February to give him a 4 year contract

Absolutely inevitable he would/will be injured for it.
