Dortmund are always setting deadlines and after they pass, they set new deadlines.
Right now, both are negotiating a price and structure of the deal. News reports that they're offering a new deal to Sancho is one tactic. What United have done regarding the news reports a few days ago about the price post Covid-19, etc. Are part of that.
Sancho, from reports, has said he wants to leave. Any offer from Dortmund wouldn't even be looked at until everything is done and dusted and there is no move. If Sancho really wants to leave, he doesn't sign a contract at all of he ends up staying this season. Dortmund will then have to sell or lose him as they did some other top stars in the past.
The pressure is off now Greenwood has hit the first team. Yea, we need (far) better squad options for attack, but a marque signing is not such a worry now.
Considering the economy and likelihood of another season without matchday revenue. Spending €120m is probably not the wisest idea... But let's see, maybe Dortmund will fold and we will get a deal, or maybe they are 100% serious and we miss out.
We need to get him, I wouldn't worry about him being on Borussia Dortmund's training camp, Same thing happened with Harry Maguire and Leicester.
Tbh I think it's positive that we Sancho can train with BVB, meanwhile we're in Germany for EL.
