Horrible Performance

Never checked but it looked like the ball could have been out of play in the lead up to the pen? Also thought there would have been more than 3 minutes injury time with all the subs.....

Dicker's face when he took out eddy, just looking to hack him never even had an eye on the baw. Thug.

Wieg ... All fair points ... especially the bit about Lenny looking clueless on how to change it.

Aye, the injury time was a joke. 1 min first half, 3 in the second ... in spite of Killie time-wasting pretty much from kick-off, and multiple subs. Think it was about 10 mins into the game when it was our throw and the Killie player picked up the ball and threw it into the stand, so wee Frimpong had to climb over the hoardings to go and retrieve it. Just laughable from so-called pros. Mind you, the ref could've played an extra hour yesterday ... we were never scoring.

early season warning of 2 things.

1 - we need signings, cb, cf, wingers. anyone who doesnt think we need wingers needs to recognise we played christie on right wing and forrest out of position yesterday. which brings me to my next point.

2. why the fvck do we do that?

Why we letting Shved go on loan?

In fairness Dave, you do sound like you've watched a close family members funeral before you put your thoughts across on a Celtic game

I actually don't think i will come on if we lose the league and you post

To be fair, I've been a lot better of late ... but yesterday's tipped me over the edge again, it was that bad.

1 year in and you can't tell me Jullien is any better than Boyata

I remember posting a link when Celtic signed him, from a respected French football journo who said, and I paraphrase here, He (Jullien) is a decent player but has plenty of brain fart moments, which make him look like an amateur. and Celtic were basically mugged for £7 million

julien is far better than boyata.

he has had bad performances BUT they have come with plastic pitches and bully strikers.

i'll argue the same strikers do not trouble him on a grass pitch as shown by home performances against the same guys last season.

i never rated boyata, but i like julien, though this is a setoous limit for him.

Nonsense chat now to be honest.

FFS Boyata used to want brought off when the going got tough.

On balance I still think Jullien has been a decent enough signing overall, and better than Boyata (a low bar TBH). He has far more good days than bad ones, but his clear, and recurring, weaknesses are there for all to see ... and I guess are why he's playing for us in the SPFL.

As I said yesterday though, we badly need another decent quality CB, as the 2 amigos currently in possession have zero competition for their places. That's never good.

Our number one priority remains a first choice LB though, as we don't even have one decent option there, never mind competition for places!

regardless of who was better I don't recall any players needing time to get up to speed

maybe first season in a new league/country I could let that slide

defence was shaky before lockdown last season, Killie at home/Copenhagen home and away/Livingston away

posted on 10/8/20

Julien has been okay but he's vulnerable in Scotland because he's a bit of schitebag.

Defensive errors were his weak point in France, it's not changed. I have seen him be very good in games though.

7m was a robbery though.

he's been good in Europe, can't remember him really putting a foot wrong

but for the size of him he gets flung about

a mean there was a moment in the 2nd half he took the ball off the boy and decked him at the same time and I was like why were you no using the same aggression in the first half

no idea what it is

his first involvement in the game was diving in on the half way line and getting skinned by Kabamba

posted on 10/8/20

Early signs that Kabamba will be a good player, i thought he was excellent. Got a bit of the Ikpeazu about him, if his finishing is better he'll score plenty.

Such arrogance in our support and the players thinking we'll be fine. That there is plenty left to go.

There may well be but we need to up the tempo and attitude something rotten. We didnt create one chance all day our goal was a massive bit of luck. Why we played 1 up front against ten men behind the ball is beyond me.

He had a bad game, usual over-reaction.

Julien got 7 goals last season which is a decent return for a CB. Ajer hasn't scored that many since he came to Scotland 5 years ago!

Julien could also have got two excellent back post volleys last week with great technique.

Just saying.

I think we made a mistake letting Sviatchenko and Simunovic go..

Both more than capable of being good back ups ready to come into the first team, but naw, absolutely naecant can slide in there..

Whys Lennon not playing Elhamed and Bitton at the back? Actually think that could be quite a good partnership. Elhamed looked absolutely rapid when he came on on Sunday

You kidding? Erik got bullied worse than Jullien and Jozo had bigger brain farts than him too!

CB is a tough position. Invariably up against the opposition’s best player. We can’t afford the best. It was a bad game for the WHOLE team bar Barkas. At least Jullien got involved and tried. Didn’t see that from Forrest but hey, he wasn’t implicated in the goal so it’s alright?
