Thiago is one of the best defensive midfield player in the world. He is a complete midfield player who has a great passing range and can build up from the back when he drops between the two CBs.

Why would anyone bookmark the comment? We won’t sign him so it would be kind of pointless.

you are probably right
but at the end of the day there is always that 1% possibility the media have gotten it wrong. and I am here desperately clinging to that
It doesn’t really make sense as a signing for either party, as good as he is.

it makes sense to me as a utd fan but hey
Which is fine, but it doesn’t from the player and club perspective.
Maybe the club will have a change of tack, and think fack it, but then you’ve also got to consider whether the player will want to play out his last few years trying to get back to the top rather than just playing at it already.
What’s Barca’s stance on dembele?

Going as part of a swap deal with Sancho apparently.
If we can’t afford Sancho, I doubt Barca can.
Give us your fooking money, probably.

His injury record is the only thing that would concern me.
Always wary of buying from Bayern.

#hargreaves
but if I could go back in time I will still sign hargreaves. He was the missing piece as SAF, sadly was broken after a year
as for thiago here are his minutes played in the last 5 years
tel:19/20 - 4653 mins
tel:18/19 - 4483 mins
tel:17/18 - 3285 mins
tel:16/17 - 4906 mins
tel:15/16 - 3732 mins
so he won't be playing or expecting to play every single game but he is far from a sick note
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Definitely this
Hargreaves was the perfect foil for Carrick, wherever he played, usually right back or dm
Thiago's injury record is not as bad as it was a few years ago. It's those lazy narratives that people just don't want to get rid of.
Also I doubt his relationship with Pep is thaaat good. Even though Thiago came through under Pep and looked like the natural heir to Xavi. Pep always favoured Fabregas even though Thiago never disrupted the balance of the side like Cesc.
Anyways he's an amazing player who's transfer to us depends on what Wijnaldum does with his contract. If Wij leaves on a free next season, we'll get Thiago. We're known for securing transfers a season in advance if we really want the player.
