In the cold light of day we didnt do enough to win that, we've struggled to take our chances for a while now and that extended to our best player missing a penalty for the first time in his career. To reach the QF after qualifying is an achievement we should be proud of though, its only three years since we were preparing for a trip to Burton Albion.

I wouldn't be totally against playing some of our more 'energetic' players in the first half and then switching to our better XI in the second. Turn it into a 45 minute game where I think we'd have a better chance of not wilting in the heat.

The penalty really annoyed me. The rules are simple, and it should be a simple job for VAR to enforce those rules.

There is no excuse for not ordering a retake. I don't hate VAR, but if if can't even manage the basics, what's the point?
