I suspect we are in for a bit of a fall next season unfortunately. It won't be like this season regarding the big six, half of which were on their knees and we still only managed to finish ahead of Arsenal albeit a few iffy decisions didn't help that cause. There again though, if you play to fine margins you are going to get burnt on occasion.
The only way the above changes to me is if we do make the appropriate additions but i don't see that being easy in such a short window and in such tricky times and of course no incentive of Europe to dangle.
At least three players needed to add to what we have before any departures, just as was the case last season, key to me is a forward, followed by a midfielder and defender. Who knows with departures, i fully expect someone to go, just not sure who.
Could be a good time to cash in on MGW depending what kind of fee could be generated. 5 million perhaps given the rate English youngsters go for though a loan out for him would be preferable this season.
Noticed Campana training in some of the videos this week, he looks to have filled out a bit. Would expect to see him get some game time next season maybe.
Wouldn't be surprised to see a bit of pause in progress next season, its pretty rare for any club to improve season on season without dropping down a gear en route.
Oldy you are starting to sound like Cinci. He predicted at the end of last season that we would go backwards but we have exceeded last seasons points haul despite having to play european games and with the covid-19 interruption..
With no distractions next season and all the players improving plus one or two additions I can only see further improvement. Top six and/or a domestic cup is what I foresee.
Podence posted this on instagram apparently

To be fair i was baout 8 points shy of our total and a round short in our euro run. Not really far off
BUT yes, we did well when you look at the handicap of having such a small squad.
And i sincerely hope you are right Gem, i just think the window for breaking the top four was probably this season just gone now, we were so so close and the big boys are going to get better and are throwing money around.
On the other hand you could listen to UH the troll who will tell you that Fosun will be cashing in on Jimenez, Traoré, Neves, Jota, Podence and Neto. Jonny will never play again due to his leg falling off.and Nuno will feck off to Wigan or somewhere equally challenging.
We will be relegated after losing 17-0 to Albion, Fosun will pull the plug and we will spend the next 10 years in the Championship before relegation to league one and eventual receivership.

Just an observation Gem, clubs sometimes have to reset and rebuild a little to push on and I wouldn't be surprised if that happened next season. May depend on whether we keep Jimenez or not and how we fair in the transfer market.
If we keep the squad together and add more firepower up front then it might be that we can continue to improve with more preparation time and rest between games. Just not sure to what degree we can buy without selling as we've clearly been sailing close to the wind despite all of the ffp experts on molineux mix and Twitter assuring us that we were in the clear.
Jordan Graham off to Gillingham on a free.
Allegedly triggered an extra 10 mill promotion bonus from the sales of cav and costa.
Some other rumoured numbers from the last few.days are that we have at least 56 million to spend, that we made 140 million in tv revenue and that Nuno has been offered a five million contract and a 'war chest'.
Just checked and we apparently got 129m quid or so in total prize money for finishing 7th and 9.53m euros for our Europa league efforts.

That must be the 140 mill then
Bottom line is we should have plenty of money to spend

i'm certainly no expert, molmix or otherwise, but i think the limit is losing more than £35 mill over 3 seasons. there fore our loss due to spending on players in the championship season. our £20 mill profit last season and a likely even better profit this season should see us well clear of any problem.
eve the above isn't quite right !
as the earliest we can qualify for europe is next season that means the qualifying period will be the prem seasons of 2019,2020 and 2021 so we will definitely be well clear
Think a lot have confused the recent fine with being related to the prem but i think it is only a uefa thing. No idea how close we are to an ffp breach in prem terms.
Tim reckons we are interested in McNeil from Burnley.

Decent player. Not sure how he fits in our set up though.
Ronaldo reported to want Jiminez as his new strike partner , I assume in Italy not the Black Country, not sure how many chances he will lay on for Raul as he is selfish that way, could be tempting for our Mexican lad though
Did read some speculation that Juventus want to offload Ronaldo to shed his £28m a year wages. Even suggesting he might go to Barca to play with Messi.
Interesting to compare career stats of the two great men. They have both scored just under 500 goals, but Messi has about 50% more assists than Ronaldo

Two massive egos at the same club would be a recipe for disaster. They would probably end up strangling each other in the dressing room!
Random news of the day here. Just seen a scrambled fighter jet circling a prop plane above our house and a police chopper closing in. We live about ten miles from Trumps home in NJ, kinda mad to watch
Away to Sheffield United opening game. First home game against Man City.
Play West Brom in January and then again in May.
A long wait for the BCD to make its rightful comeback to the Premier League!
