Tbh PEH looks decent at best and not really a player that’s going to take Spurs (or Arsenal) to the next level
On the flip side, he does seem to have a lot of leadership qualities which is rare in footballers these days, especially when it comes to Arsenal and Spurs.

Nobody is saying he’s the next Zidane, but we don’t need that. We got quality players that can do stuff with the ball like Son, Lucas, GLC etc. We need a leader which we don’t have. We need a tough tackling no nonsense bruiser in midfield, which we also don’t have. He will improve Spurs 100%. My only worry is this will be Levy’s only signing the tight fis. ted c***!!!

He should have stepped up 3 years ago, invested £100M in 3 quality additions included cover for Kane and maybe, just maybe we’d now be celebrating our 1st league title in 60odd years....

All that great work poch did to get us on the cusp of glory and he was rewarded with not a single facking signing.

Chelsea didn`t sign any players last season, and got Top Four. You don`t have to sign players every season, it is not rule. The previous manager had plenty to work with, and also spent plenty last Summer, mostly on duds. So I am not having because he didn`t sign any players in a window, that is why Spurs haven`t won anything.

You’ve literally side stepped the reason why Levy is to blame for the reason we missed out on the title?
We didn’t have to buy players like Chelsea but we needed badly to buy cover for one of the key members of the club at the time being sold off Dembele
He didn’t replace him at the time and expectedly the team to performs the same without one of the most important players in the team!
Levi maybe shrewd with money but it takes more than money to be a good chairman which you think he is!
He had steadied the ship but has cost us few great players too. A lot of the deals went nowhere because he was quibbling on few pounds!
By the way, the PEH deal only went our way because the player wanted to come to us. Nothing to do with a Levy. Otherwise Everton probably would’ve got the player!

3/4 years ago though you had one of the best first 11's in the league though. All you needed was 2/3 high quality additions and you'd have definitely won something.
Your position in 2016 was essentially where we were in 2018, only we bought the players to take us to the next level whilst you stood still.

I think you are forgetting that Walker, Rose, Dembele and Eriksen have all left, and our CBs were getting older. The team peaked maybe three/four seasons back, and money has been spent, and will still be spent, but it takes time to rebuild. The time for Spurs to win trophies was four seasons back. Once that didn`t happen was going to be difficult to keep going with the same bunch of players.
Liverpool added a couple of players to a squad that had not yet peaked. Big difference.
