Atlético got away with being negative against us with our chances all being wasted and our goal keeper doing a fine impression of Karius.
Their luck ran out last night. City are never going to have a better chance of winning the CL IMO.

City won`t win it, they got turned over by Arsenal in the FA Cup semi-finals, as well as losing to lots of the big boys in the Prem this season. Bayern or PSG will beat City. Same reason as Spurs knocked them out last season, when push comes to shove, once they come up against a half decent side in a cup competition, they usually lose. And yes I know they beat Real Madrid, but they are nowhere the team they used to be.

Yeh they will probably beat Lyon, but will the have to beat PSG, then either Bayern or Barca in all probability, and they have shown they are a long way from invincible now, with some ageing players.

Atletico beat us fair and square, no issues with the results in that game. We didn't take the plethora of chances we had and paid the price.
Hate everything they stand for as a footballing side currently though. Masters of the dark arts which make the sport unwatchable at times.
Give me a 5-0 loss to City playing proper football over a 1-0 drab game against Atletico any day of the week.

Its the year of the plastic clubs in the CL.
Unless bayern can win it i suppose.
We have only oursevles to blame however. We we leading in extra time and royally messed it up. We would imo have been in the final 100% this year again.
