I like Winks and think he has a far higher ceiling than he's shown this season and last.
Unless we are buying more homegrown players then we can’t sell him.
It is a good price for him though.
Winks should be a lot better with Hoijbjerg playing.
I can imagine he would be very successful at city given they dominate the ball so much.

I think we will see a different winks this season with Hojberg taking up the slack. Winks is a good player reminds me of a budget Modric but he needs the shackles taken off and to be given a bit of confidence.
We need home grwon players not just for the quota but for the club that know the club.
The big question is can he stop a counter attack with a sly foul that won't attract a yellow?
These Winks rumours started the moment PEH rumours of him joining us surfaced. I wonder if it's his agent or Winks himself who is not happy?!?

The Winks stuff goes back to January
Absolutely get rid of Winks if an offer comes in, whatever the price. He is never going to get better than now. He really doesn't offer much either offensively or defensively.
Doesn't make sense to sell for a couple of reasons. Need to meet the homegrown quota, and we'd be weakening the area of the team after we've just gone and strengthened it.

Have to say with the addition of PEH, Winks is a player we could easily offload.
If a club wants to pay £40m for him, then it's a winner for all of us!
That money would secure us couple of extra players, and of good quality in places we lack cover!

Is it ? Can't see Winks on the levels of Gundogan?m Gundogan has vision and is a leader.
I think he is more like Fernandinho type they want. But Winks isn't an aggressive tackler and that's big reason why we had to get PEH in.
