I’d be putting in a bid for Reguilon. He’s available.

Chilwell is going for 80 million.

Agree OP. But there is a difference in maturity.

He’s been poor while a while , no confidence, no ability to cross, poor decision making.

Williams is knackered, and on a yellow card.

We have TFM on the bench but Ole decides he will just let Williams keep on being targeted and do nothing

Top manager identify weaknesses and do something about it

Come to think of it, neither of our current fullbacks can cross.

Yep that's definitely a factor, I think next season we really need to push on though and so Shaw has to be number 1 LB whenever he's fit

Yeah, I like him too, we were playing well up till he got injured a few weeks back

I like Shaw and would be reasonably happy with him if he could stay fit. But a first team player who misses as much football as he does has to be replaced im afraid.

Good point, perhaps next season will be last chance saloon for him before we stop relying on him

I've just read/reminded myself that Luke Shaw got injured during our 2-2 draw against Southampton, which I believe was the first game we dropped points since the lockdown

posted on 16/8/20

without picking up a serious injury this season shaw still managed to play fewer than half the PL minutes available...he seemed to come back from lockdown in decent shape (well, he didn't look tubby at least), so i can't be too harsh in terms of his overall physical conditioning, but it's reasonable now to ask whether he will ever give us 32+ full games a season.

because if the answer is no, then we really need a starting LB.
