Broony vital for the 10

I think the issue for many now is the fact we’re seeing a guy who does look his age at times and there’s no need for him to play every week.

Ntcham, McGregor and Christie or Rogic would offer so much more in the middle of the park but there’s no doubt Brown still has a huge role to play this season.

He has more dig, desire, drive and all that jazz, than anyone in the team. Don't think he has the ability anymore. Everything goes through him slowly, very slowly and sideways. He rarely offers anything going forwards and I don't think he has the speed and mobility to get back covering the defence when needed either.
Definitely valuable for certain games but wish he wasn't first name in the team sheet.

What a load of melancholy nonsense. Even several Celtic posters on here have said he's past it!

What kills me most is how deep Brown has to drop to get the ball and then very rarely does it go forward, it’s sideways or back to the centre half.

McGregor plays that role and within 3 seconds the ball is in the opponents half.

For tonight, it’ll be interesting to see the formation. Lennon’s interview suggests we will likely revert to 3-5-2 when Ajeti is up to speed.

Agreed on that, when we got Ntcham on against Killie one of his firat touches, Ntcham got the ball outside our box, took a few steps forward and pinged a pass forward to someone on the left wing much further forward. We had missed that all match.

He's past it IMO and will cost us more points than he wins.
Has never scored enough goals to justify his place as a midfielder at Celtic.
Looks done now with guys running past him easily. If any midfielder in the country gets half a yard on him he's gone. We'll now see our other players' games suffer as they try to cover for him.

I'd prefer his leadership to be off the pitch

We have better players than brown in waiting

The issue is he's just not very good at football , he's had one good season in his Celtic career

Since we've been back this season he's looked like he's been drafted in from an over 35s league

Play him every so often , McGregor is a much more productive choice for that role

Ntcham must think wtf sometimes when he's sitting on the bench and Brown can't pass wind

I want to see Rogic get more game time, we’ve missed his quality in the final 3rd rather than Ryan I want to shoot from 75 yards and take 18 touches to get the ball out my feet Christie.

What about Alex Rae last night? Made another rip roaring Kant of it

“Keep hearing Celtic have all of these superstars well they went to Kilmarnock and couldn’t score”

Donkey.

Keevins said on 3 separate occasions that Celtic were exactly the same at Kilmarnock as rangers were at livi...they could have played all day and not scored.

Then was obvioisly told to correct himself. Didnt hear Rae say it but i only heard the first 20 mins or so.

Browns been excellent in 2 of his 11 years, decent for another 2 or 3 and then absolutely bang average the rest.

Thankfully he’s a great captain and does seem to ensure the standards don’t drop, just a shame his on the ball aren’t the best.

21 trophies at Celtic under 5 different managers suggests ‘bang average’ is a tad harsh.

Rangers fans I know wouldn’t give you two Bob for Scott Brown.

Yes we need a player with similar leadership qualities and winning mentality. Absolutely we do. But it doesn’t mean we need Scott Brown.

I hope Celtic keep him and continue to play him - especially in OF games. We have showed over the past two seasons that when put under pressure he doesn’t have the ability or footballing brain to cope.

He has been a terrific servant for Celtic but there will come a point where his lack of footballing ability and lack of legs will start to supersede the positives he brings as a leader. I have no idea if he is there yet but from what I have seen in OF games certainly gives me encouragement that these days as a player he is a potential weak link in your team.

We could definitely do with someone with Scott Browns positive attributes.

But Scott Brown the player you have right now....no thanks.👍

Brown and Forrest, both get it pretty tight at times from the Celtic Support yet they are the only 2 (I think) who have the chance of having all 10 league medals should it happen, funny that.

There's nothing funny about it.
Really good players generally get moved on for big fees.
