Might be a good move all round. He started well but then trailed off.

Same sort of player as Poveda?
We bring in James and the you stunt Poveda progress whilst having to endure his large wages playing in U23s
Not against upgrades but would rather see us plug the more obvious gaps first

The boat as now sailed

Would have been a good signing at the time and would probably have got us over the line.

But it’s gone now, he’s on too much money now and the fee wouldn’t be worth it.

Would have him on loan for sure. Bielsa might make him that much better. Could use all the help we can get.

Tend to agree, you have to feel for the lad, a season under Bielsa in the Championship might have done wonders for him, but he was caught up in something not of his making. Poveda is interesting, hopefully he can kick on and really show something. Exciting times ahead

If Bielsa did with him what he's done with White then it'd be helping ManU more then us!..

Like Kebab says, we have a player just coming into the first team, he's our player and I'm sure it'd be better for us for Bielsa to improve our own before others!..

People thought great what Bielsa did with White, but most ain't to happy the way its turned out!..

Would have come on so much under Bielsa a coach who improves most people who train under him rather than someone like Solskar who has no such reputation.

I was far more impressed with poveda in his cameo apperences towards the end of the season then I thought i would be, looks like we might have found a little gem there.

I'd much rather have harrison on the left then James. Harrison has two full seasons in the system and was fantastic last season.

James's career will probably stall, dont blame him Swansea screwed him, and us over, with their not answering calls fiasco and he will be earning life changing money at man u now.

He will end up on loan somewhere id imagine, might even be in the championship which would be a shame for him I suppose when you think he club he signed for and the club he "signed" for will both be playing in the premiership next year.

It was a bad move for him in terms of football development, never going to be good enough for a team at that level yet.

I wouldn't want him now though, we don't really need him.

To be fair James was a starter at United - went straight into the first team..

which he would of been for us if we had gone up that season.. so regardless he would of played first team premier league last season what ever.

fact is he couldn't cut it - maybe, just maybe, Radz was right in hindsight to try and low ball Swansea!!

a lot of fans had Radz and Orta at fault for this.

posted on 19/8/20

I'm not sure that many fans blamed Radz and Orta for the James transfer falling through.

James was at ER having photos taken with his new shirt - Swansea and James had obviously accepted our offer, but the Swansea owner changed his mind at the 11th hour.

Blame lies with Swansea for not negotiating a proper price in the first place.

If we had got him and gone up he would have had to play in our team!..

He's good enough for the Premier, problem for him going where he did was trying to take a place of the quality that team has!..

Its not going to be easy for anyone outside of a "proven world class" player to drop straight into their team, hopefully we'll have that problem in the next year or two!..

I thought he'd more likely be competition for Jack H rather than Poveda?

Quick and skilful, it's just a shame he didn't come to us when originally pursued. Given a bit of MB's magic development dust, he could be some player, I just don't see him arriving anytime soon, if ever.

I'll get slated for it - but possibly a better player than Harrison on his day.

I'd rather we use poveda as our back up

On the left we have alioski and dallas who can play there

Truth is that we don't need anymore left sided wingers and we have a limited budget.

Seems we are back in for Ryan Kent.

yeah agree on his day, but think Harrison's all round game slightly better - not as quick, but a lot stronger and more assured on the ball I reckon... not at all dissing James, I had him in my FF team at start of last season, got some decent points to be fair

It's all academic as I just don't see us attempting to get him (James). I'm more than happy with Harrison, especially if he can develop even more under MB.

We've got more pressing areas to focus on - i.e. defence and strikers …….

As a right winger there is no place for him with Raphinha

If I am honest he has electric pace but lacks skill to get past a player. I said to my sc+m mate he may be better playing as a RB or RWB where he can run on from deep to use his speed to better effect

I can’t comment enough on whether he has the defensive skillset for that and he is quite short

For us there is no way he gets in ahead of Ayling
