I don't know if he will still be top quality in 3 years, feels like his performances have dropped year on year for a while now.
Anyway he won't actually leave Barcelona.
He'd be the wrong signing to make on every level, but it would be incredible nevertheless.

He got 51 goals in all competitions last season... And still managed 31 in a poor team this year.
He's definitely got a season or two at the very top in him.

Some drop off that.
In my opinion he's still top class but he and Ronaldo aren't ahead of the pack anymore.
I just don't think he will be in another 3 seasons.
We're one of the biggest clubs in the world and should always be interested in one of the best players in the world.
Messi probably got 3 good years left in him, if we could get him like Juve did with Cristiano I'm sure it woudn't be to bad in the sense of sporting or financial success
Be amazed if he left, but if he did surely Pep is the key factor which would see him join City over anyone else?
Would rather go for Ronaldo at £50m or so, if reports are to be believed that PSG want him for that! Whether he’d come back now who knows. But he guarantees goals which we could’ve done with on Sunday!

What about that leaky back 4?
Conceding that second goal like a bunch of school boys - doesn't that need addressing?
Would I like to go and watch Messi every week?
Even at 33, the answer is yes.
We are always good for one last big pay day
Wonder what he will play on the piano
With FFP being abandoned this summer, could PSG not afford him?
He isn’t the right fit for us. No thanks.
i'm not entirely sure where he would play in this particular team - starting on the right and drifting in? and knowing our luck we'd pay him an outrageous salary - isn't he getting over £1m at barca? - and watch him turn to sh!t within 6 months.
but who cares, i'd love him to come to the PL, there's even a part of me that would love to see him play for someone else in the PL.
Should we buy him? Probably not!
Would it be an incredibly exciting transfer? Yes it would.
I have no opinion on this move whatsoever...
The problem with the idea of "he still has a few good years left" is that we will, sooner or later, have to deal with the huge drop off in form, while still having to justify his fees, wages and just the "you can't drop Messi" factor.
I'd rather bet on a youngster like Sancho
More importantly, we need Stoke to return to the PL before making such a signing, otherwise we'll never know just how good he is.
As much as I hate to say it, there's only 1 realistic club for him outside of Barcelona and Harrogate Town, and that's City.
The Barca collection at a board level, Pep, and the main fact is he wouldn't leave to join us atm, because we're not in a place where we could win the Champions League.
City, despite their failings in the competition are closer to us at this than we are

I got the numbers the wrong way around, 51 points
Maguire 26
Fred 26
Grant 35
Lukaku 25
Matic 30
Sanchez 29
Mkhi 27
Pogba 24 (after initially losing him as a youngster)
Zlatan 34 (twice)
What strategy of young hungry players?
Messi will never leave his comfort zone in Barca but if he did United would be front of the que throwing enough money at him to buy Argentina
