Don’t fret bud. Any minute now we’re going to announce a triple signing of Snijder, Ronaldinho and Pastore.
Ed’s been playing the long game.
In all seriousness though, yes as usual we should be concerned with who we have leading negotiations, both Woodward and Judge. Absolutely no urgency.
In a word, "yes".
I'm baffled that we haven't seen more exits, sanchez has gone (woohoo), but smalling's been out on loan for a year, presumably both club and player want him to leave, but all i hear now is gossip that he will only sign for roma and they don't want to pay up, so we're at an impasse.
Rojo, well god knows what's going on there. Jones has injured himself (yes, I know), and no movement on Lingard or Pereira.
I can understand that if sancho is taking up most/all of our potential budget, we need that sorted before moving onto other targets. Why that hasn't been sorted - when we have been following the player for years, and could have spoken to dortmund 6 months ago - I don't know.
On the whole it is probably best to insulate yourself from all the tittle tattle out there, between the press' appetite for all things united, and our negotiating team's incompetence, it's rarely a fun ride.
Its turning into a mess again.
Yet another window where we have another transfer saga with leaks about it revealed left, right and centre.
Yet another window were its looking difficult to clear out the deadwood.
Auit flapping.
We have no idea who the club is in negotiations with or who the manager wants, if anyone.
We’ve got Ed in charge, of course we should be concerned.
Surely the club have spent months identifying who is needed as well as back up plans with key dates that these players need to be brought in by? The squad needs quite a lot of work still and we need to be bringing in quality in quite a few areas, so even in the Sancho deal is stalling it’s no excuse as to why we aren’t pursuing other targets.
I think we will try to sign a few players first, and leave shipping out the deadwood to the last minute leaving little time to find buyers for them.
Expect some PR campaign if we have a poor window.

there may be no other targets.
city have spent about 80 million or so, but apart from that noone has spent big other than chelsea, and they have had money burning a hole in their pocket for over a year now.
if sancho is going to cost around the 100 million mark.. that may be it
Well there clearly should be other targets seeing as our squad lacks depth and we will struggle to play so many games this season.
City have done business, as have Chelsea (our closest rivals next season), Liverpool are the current PL champions and in less need of strengthening but there’s been plenty of rumours they will including getting Thiago. Arsenal have financial issues but have still managed to bring in a defender.
The squad is big.
With finances tight it's not going to be about quantity this window, but quality.
Season doesnt start for another 4 weeks. No rush
In normal times I would preach patience to you all. But in recent years Ed hasn’t given me any hope that he has the ability to get deals done quickly.
It took pressure on the Glazers in January to get Ed into gear to get the Bruno deal done.
I'd be happy with just a CB and DM. If you become a team that's hard to score against then you give yourself a chance in every match. I'm not saying lets revert to Jose style football but let's get a strong defence and continue to build from there. Just my opinion.

We had the leagues 3rd best defence last season. And that was with a poor DDG.

And we finished 3rd. Let's get a strong defensive structure and become the best defensive team instead of 3rd best. As the great SAF said a great attack will win you games but a great defensive will win you titles. That still rings true today.
Teams defend from the front nowadays.
And City finished well ahead of us, not because their defence was better, but because they scored / won more than us.
Our priority should be offensive signings

No. We dont know this at all.
Maybe we're targeting someone who was focus on European football this week (Coman, Alaba...)
