There's a light that never goes out.

I'm halfway through watching Brassic S2, which is just a ryral version of Shameless imo.

What makes it more watchable is the soundtrack - Nick Drake, Stone Roses and Funkadelic in the last episode I watched.

From my youth, punk, ska and Oi, as o have grown older my genres have expanded and I have listened to all-sorts over the years, including older genres that were before my wedding time, my friends tend to describe my music collection as eclectic and I'm often asked to supply the background music at our BBQs, parties, football trips etc and once even a funeral for my mates son, and he was into gothy grungy emo stuff, yep I can enjoy that too.

Nirvana Come As You Are just pops up as I do family BBQ.

One of my fav tunes and just so fooking good.

When Kurt died Come As You Are stuck in my head and alone cycling in Antrim hills on summer days I would sung it, top off, no hands on bike away from it all.

I've rediscovered AC/DC this summer, mainly due to my son getting into the Marvel films. I don't why or when we parted company but I won't let it happen again.

Same goes for Never Mind the Bollox, I stuck it on the Alexa the other day and soon as the first few seconds of Holiday in the Sun kick in I thought "oh fackin yes".

Ageless album, I never really listened to much heavy rock when younger but had a fair bit in my collection by the start of this year but I was surprised to learn I had next to no AC/DC, I have rectified that 🙂

Yes I'm more of a punk/indy boy.

Damned, Ramones, Jesus and MC, Smiths, Pixies, Smashing Pumpkins.....etc.

But when I'm in the mood a bit of Motorhead, early Sabbath and AC/DC is just the job.

have to agree. 2nd album is also a sloppy jam record. Not at all inspiring or interesting.

posted on 31/8/20

The 2nd album is often wrongly overlooked because it veered away from the 'Anthem' style of the first but it's good in its own right.
