It's going to take a while to get used to the transfer fees at this level. We've actually got really good value when you look at what English players are going for now.

Massive windfall of TV money, new Adidas deal, 2 new sponsors on the kit, season tickets already sold, we sold a hell of a lot of shirts last week.

Club is in a great place financially

Koch at 13 million seems like a bargain to me.

Considering we spent more than that on Costa in the championship and this guy is a current German international it seems like one hell of a deal.

I hear his wages are premiership level though

I agree VOF, a lot of money being spent, usual influx of numbers at U23 level which cost as well and we know revenue streams will be dented due to lack of spectators.

However, I don't feel we're going overboard in terms of relative spending for this division, but will be hard to tell until we see accounts for life in this division.

At the moment feel ok with it.

I think some sort of takeover is on the cards. The guys looking at Newcastle seem interested in a PL club. The chance to grow Leeds is much bigger than Newcastle.

Plus the city is a more desirable place to be than up in the NE. Attract better players and better investment etc.

Bet if the PiF came in offering good money they would soon reconsider. Maybe even if it were partial investment with a plan to slowly increase ownership. Let’s not say that wouldn’t be great for Leeds.

Because we’re being linked, strongly, to players at £25m plus in addition to the players (Costa wasn’t free) already signed.

For the reasons Best gives I’m seeing money being used well & believe we’ll be ok. Doesn’t mean I don’t have reservations, I do.

never say never, however we already have a few part investment & i'm sure more is being sort. ar seems to have been very transparent so far & is 3 years ahead of plans, so is really buzzing right now.

TV rights money and sponsorship mostly. It's all new money to us that wasn't in our existing budget. So while most Prem sides spend 99% of their income on the wagebill, a newly promoted side is spending about 10% at the point of promotion, leaving a lot of extra cash unallocated..... most of our players are on a championship wage

So logically , ( actually illogically ), people are comparing the potentially global and domestic income revenue generation of Leeds United against Fulham?

Must admit crosses my mind too VOF, but not concerned.. for the first time in a long time I fo have trust in our owner, always did, but more so now!

I don’t think sky’s showing showing in coming players help.. they just list everyone who’s come in.. looks as though we’re doing a villa.. only Leeds fans know that two players are for the first team.. Costa and Harrison were already here, the rest are U23s.

No need for concern

And yeah agree with above post, the signings seem to be good value too.

Accounts wise and whether they turn out to be gems is probably a question answered next year sometime

well put spanish. i think were doing great business but who doesn't have a tiny dark thought hidden in the back of their minds. it's human nature.
now lets go out and buy a couple more players.

The clubs value has gone up ten fold.
We won 100 million for promotion roughly
Record sponsorship deal
Record kit manufacturer deal
Small squad of players on mostly low wages

Think the club are easily working within there means.

I get all the money coming in, but mentioning sale of tshirts You dont get much of the sale, clubs traditionally receive 7.5% commission from the sale of a shirt.

You sell them for £60, you sold 110,000 in previous years, so lets say you got £500K for shirt sales. 2 weeks player wages.

Transfer kitty is 70m, which for a club of our size in the prem is par for the course. We’re not fkin fulham or hudds, we are attracting top level players, wanted by one of the best coaches in the world.

People are forgetting we’re in with premier league money now.

Still need to buy a playmaker and a left back IMO, as well as this de Paul, who looks class.

I think de Paul is seen as the #10 play maker.
And he is class.

Worries me we're heading like Arsenal/Liverpool/Man City, etc. with too many foreigners(non-Brits/Irish). We have a good team since we got promoted, we only needed a striker, and a replacement for White.Troy Deeney wold have been a good signing and he's a great leader. The ways it's going MB won't need a translator with so many Spanish speaking players !!

When you’re getting quoted £20-25m for Buendia, Benrahma, Kent and Harry... £80m for Grealish and £30m for white - none are internationals or played in the top league for longer than 12 months and you wonder why owners are going abroad. British clubs take the pi55...... we've signed quality in comparison. Long may that strategy continue
