That’s the thing.. if we do that, we’d be gutted.. fans of the club would be really p 1 sed off.. lack of ambition etc etc..
The outsiders will think great bit of business!.. which is why I was taking the p 1 ss out of the Brentford bumboys last season.
Of course it is different due to the rise of the clubs!.. which is where this “great recruiting” stands it’s ground, I guess.

If I said, I don’t like all these foreign people, coming to work in my area, I’d get the sack.
Wakey it's nonsense, it isn't where someone come from but their buying into the Leeds way. We have surely gone partly down the Arsenal/Liverpool/Man City route by appointing Bielsa as manager, shouldn't he be raising concerns about that.
I do get the British players thing and I think our u23s are packed with them, but when it comes to British players with experience clubs are inflating their price. Name me one British player over £30m that’s value for money and I’ll name you 3 Players playing across the European league that are better and cheaper
Troy Deeney would have been decent 3 or 4 season's ago. He's well past it. Likeable player though.
If we sign De Paul and perhaps an experienced keeper, we'll be set to go.

As long as British players prices remain over-priced I’d be happy with a squad of all foreigners.
£30m White - got German international for £13m
£80m for Grealish- De Paul/ Rodrigo proven international players with experience of top leagues for a third of the price
Not sure what a few are smoking here with all this British thing. Our core is British (Philips, Cooper, Ayling etc) and our youth team is British but as far as going to the market for experienced British players - no thanks. Unless you wana go bankrupt in a few years

People have no problem signing Irish players, who are, from a foreign country after all, Johnny Giles was born in Dublin.
Much rather have the likes of Alioski who gets it than say Seth Johnson, British but never really got it. I no more want a foreign mercenary than a British one but being born within spitting distance of Elland Rd isn't the criteria I measure transfers on.
