I think Giroud is becoming that. He was for the most part a constant frustration, filling a crucial position with years of averageness (at best) yet as time goes on people start to forget that and instead remember the flashes of brilliance which were awesome but very rare

Could be... He was given much more responsibility as a Spurs player and got to showcase aspects of his game that he never got to show at United.
He played his role well at United but it was limited... relatively speaking...
Honestly I was a little disappointed with Carrick overall just because I never got to see that Spurs player at United...

Different types of player. Out of the two Bergkamp was more exciting to watch for me.
Bergkamp was unreal. He was and is one one the best best players ever to grace the Premier league. Silva is a a class act but Dennis was sheer class.

Definitely a double-plus player for United.
Nightmare to play against.
Bit annoying to the 'get stuck in der' grunts, but with the quality, integrity and intelligence of the players around him at the time he was a luxury to watch.
