Both teams tried their best to choke at the end - good win for England in that respect

Why did Rashid bowl the last over ?
Who else was there
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Curran
This game me of that 2002 Natwest series final between England and India. England scored 325, India made good start but then were around 150/5, then had a 100+ 6th wicket partnership between Yuvray Singh and Mohammad Kaif and eventually won the game by 2 wickets in the last over. That was a game England threw away and today was similar to an extent but far far worse!
I blamed Morgan for that ridiculous over from stokes in the 20/20 final...
That was him too...not good

Looks like Wood had an over left as well
Ten runs needed with two new men at the crease. Shouldn’t be losing that
Morgan has been excellent of late...but that was questionable.... people remember these moments

Definitely shouldn't have been Rashid. He was already going at 8 an over with a short boundary. Leggies can get hit but take wickets at the same time. We didn't need wickets. We needed dot balls. I think Curran would have been my choice due to varied bowling, he is a death bowler. But Wood would have been a good choice too.
Dissapointed we couldn't get the job done yesterday but another great series all the same. Never a dull moment following the England cricket team.
Finishing with a spinner was a big call but you can sort of understand why he went with that call for a few reasons. I think if that had been a world cup semi final or something then he would have gone with Curran. Although it was a match that would decide the series, this is all part of a new journey for England to be ready for their defence of the world cup.
Despite losing, that was a really enjoyable series in what were 3 close games and the bowlers were in the game. Seeing batsmen smash quality bowlers to all parts on a road just doesn't build the same tension as tight lower scoring matches.
Well...you say that TCP...but Morgan has previous here doesn't he
Played Stokes in the death over v WI in the 20/20 final...
Sure you'd play Stokes now (all day) in that final over, but he was younger, raw at that level & the hype was ridiculous over him...& Morgan should have took him aside after ball two of that over & demanded he bowl in the right areas, & use the runs in hand...didn't do it...& Brathwaite crushed him...& we had 19 runs to play with
59...a year older than me....
that's no age to get bowled out...
Dean Jones , great character, will be missed. He was easily the best odi player for considerable period
