Heed, he is never away from the family over the back garden fence fae me, his missuess family I think, over the years he has given my youngest boy a load of Celtic stuff, tops and the like and he never misses us when he's there, real top bloke but I agree, his legs aren't what they were and and slows us down at times, he's great tae have about the club and hope he moves into the coaching team when he does retire

Was at a BBQ he was at 3-4yrs ago and we both got nuggets, weirdly with his playing style he's actually quite quiet and shy, that night we were singing Brown Eyed Girl at midnight loud asf

And btw, he REALLY wants the 10, think he knows it will cement his history at Celtic

Brown will get the ten home
We can tinker with the rest of the squad but regardless if the captain is there it will be done.
Dont care how a big a Celtic fan you think you are and what ten means to you myself included it means more to Broony and he will make it happen.

Piff, great story and sums the guy up. When he was out injured he used to go round the posh boxes at CP and speak and laugh with all the guests. I really hope he joins the coaching staff as he would be a great motivator and coach for us 👍

That said actually would like to see the couching managerial side maybe go outwith too.
Kennedy for example has had offers to actually manage , think go and do it .
Hey Big Jock had to show what he could do at Dunfermline so isnt a slight on anyone who does similar

Wasn't having a pop at Taylor. In fact I think he gets it too tight albeit it's harder to tell on the telly. I really do hope we bulk up a bit as a team and Duffy seems a good start. Brown's star may be fading but he's too good a skipper to kid anyone on and at that we have lost a lion on the park.

I still think Brown has a part to play, but i'd like to see him play half the games, that way we'll be able to tell for sure if we are better with or without and if it's time to move on and find a new leader on the pitch.

Brown's issue is he's not a player who relies on his technique and skill, his physical attributes are what made him, and it's clear he's lost a step.

Honestly I don't even think we'd have a shot at getting him for £5m, i'm baffled that so many Celtic fans don't seem that excited by him, he's been very unlucky with injuries but with what we've seen he's about as exciting a prospect as i've ever seen come through the ranks, got McGeadys quick feet but with a better end product in my opinion.

Agree that Mikey J is a very exciting prospect. Has electrifying pace, good feet and a definite nose for goal. I think most people’s expectations (mine included) are maybe being tempered by his poor injury record and the fact he’s still very lightweight (don’t think those 2 things are unconnected BTW). Still has the physique of an 18 year old, not a 21 year old. Been said before, but he needs to find his way to the gym. Fact of life in the hammer-throwing SPFL unfortunately.

True depending on the market sourced. Down south for example if he played for a decent championship team a top flight club down there would probably happily pay twice the sum above

Yeah been frustrated with the injuries too Dave.
Hopefully gets it sorted, sports science is amazing now so if it can be fixed it will be.

It would be good if he could bulk up a bit to help him keep the ball under pressure no doubt, it was the same with Forrest in his younger days, hopefully we can get him strong and fit enough to contribute for an entire season coz I think his direct running is just what we need right now, we've slowed our game down a bit too much this season.

posted on 7/9/20

think he will be fine strength wise over the course . Is played wide now due to such but see him going through the middle as he matures.
He is probably bigger than Dalglish was already but admit players in general have become bigger all over the park so will need to adapt .
Its not just scotland the extra counts too where maybe here is more a strength virtue elsewhere is also required regards athleticism.
Really think this bhoy will make the step up
