Hardworking and reliable enough defensively, but I think playing off the right he’s probably more of a Jose-era player than an Ole-era player: he prefers to stay wide, beat players on the outside and whip crosses in rather than cut in and help support centrally. We don’t really want or need one of those.

And I’m not sure we need another player who can play the inverted winger role off the left really.

The likes of Sancho and Brooks who are better working in the half space and in central areas are a better fit IMO, considering how we attack both from the left and from the right.

Could be a bargain for the right team at that price though.

Definitely. Bayern wanted to keep but wanted him cheaper. Clearly didn’t need him permanently after getting Sane.

Also wouldn’t say that we don’t need anyone who can play from the left.

Martial is a CF now and Rashford is still highly inconsistent and we saw what overplaying him did last season. James has not done anything near enough to suggest he should be 1st back up to Rashford.

Not that impressive during Bayern’s CL games to be honest. Yes I know he got a few goals but his decision making was often awful.

He looks like one of those players who will frustrate the hell out of the fans. We already have our share of those.

If true I’m glad Ed put a halt to that. Apparently Inter wanted over 50 million for him at that stage which would have been madness.

This coming from the idiot who thinks United's transfer policy involves going after the targets of a mid-table Europa League team?

Proof didn’t seem to matter when you thought Jimmy Greaves was dead.

Mid-table?
Let's see last 5 years, before the last one, Spurs were
in top 4, how many times were United in the top 4?

United in fact are the 6th place side which their beloved place!

One season and he thinks United are the world beaters

Why?

The point is a team in Europe's elite competition are not competing in the transfer market with a team who are playing Lokomotic Plodiv in the Europa League second qualifying round.

Yeah? But can it hammer a cutback in at Mach 2, five centimetres off the ground?

That’s what we’ve really been missing.
