Do you think we're the best team that will have never won any trophies in English football?

Are you really a Spurs supporter?

Liverpool had some good teams between between the FA Cup win in 2006 and the League Cup win in 2012.

At one point we had:-

Reina
Arbeloa, Carragher, Agger, Aurelio
Mascherano, Alonso
Kuyt, Gerrard, Riera
Torres

Finished second but won feck all.

Basically you're asking if you should win a trophy for being the biggest bottlejob club in PL History?🤪🤣

F O CKYEAHHHHH!!!!😂

You could make the argument for the team of 2016 in the PL era. But if you are older than 30 you would know all about the FA Cup wins of 81, 82 & 91, Uefa Cup win in 84 and the teams of the 60s were legendary.

The answer to your question is no. Sadly in the money dominated PL era, Levy has chosen to put commercial success above winning.

Spurs could/should have won a trophy or 2 around 2015/2016 when all our players and Poch were at their peak. Some sensible squad rotation/strengthening would have seen us over the line..... But as per usual, he chose to keep the money for himself & Enic

Where did you get that idea from? This is by no means a boast but a reminder of just how badly the bald one has messed up with us.

Keegan's Newcastle team might be the best team never to win a trophy in the PL era

I did think of them, but did they reach the same heights we did or have as good a squad? I wouldn't say so.

And a CL final.

What did Newcastle do in comparison to that back when Keegan was there?

It wasn't great and we scraped through against Ajax and City but still the PL performances weren't really reflective of how good we could be either. I would say getting to a CL final was more reflective of our true quality than the relegation form in the PL. Let's not forget we were even worse in Europe when we got to second in the league.

Keegan's Newcastle and Brendans Liverpool were both better and more entertaining. Sorry Spurs, you're not even close to claiming this made up trophy🤪🤭

Thought it would make an interesting topic of discussion to be fair, and was genuinely interested to see if there was another team that are better near misses than us.

By the time Spurs win any kind of trophy I expect London to look like a scene from Blade Runner or The Fifth Element.

Blade Runner was set in 2019. The sequel is 2049, so to be honest that's a lot less time to wait for Spurs to win a trophy than I'd expect.

We don't go around making fake boasts, going on about being a top 4 Club or one of The Elite in English football and generally embarrassing ourselves on here on a daily basis. I seriously can't think of any English Club or it's fans that go on about how they deserve to be so great in stature despite winning Jack all.

We know exactly who we are.

Also us being relegated, in a bizarre way, was the best thing to happen to our Club in over a decade👍

Your incoherent rant makes no sense.

What does ‘fake boasts’ mean exactly? Most spurs fans on here acknowledge we’re not a top four club anymore, as we recognise our squad probably isn’t good enough to compete for that. We don’t pretend to be in the elite either as we’ve won nowhere near enough to warrant that phrase (though again I don’t actually know what ‘the elite’ means). Seems you made that phrase up just now.

We’d finished in the top four four season in a row
before 2020 and reached the CL final, so I’d suggest in that period we were a top four club.
