Presumably we'd be playing Bale from the right as Son is better from the left. Was Bale operating from the right for RM when he played?
agree with the OP team
any of the CBs can play tbh theyre all pretty meh and Davies and the wing backs will suit that system.
still worry about the midfield
I think Kane drops deeper to help link. Let's be real, he's our best playmaker as well as our best striker.

Yup
Agree with that setup OP.
I don't think historically Jose likes 5 at the back but no way would he have naturally attacking full backs in a 4.
Assuming that line up - which is pretty much our best players - I’m concerned by the defence. Reguilon and Doherty will push high up, leaving us TA, ED, BD and PEH at the back - literally no pace.

Agreed. Would prefer Sanchez in the back three in stead of Dier or Toby.
You cannot expect one signing to bale you out of the mess you're currently in

Sanchez Dier Tanganga
two either side of Dier have pace
love Toby but any pace he ever had has truly gone, he could play in the middle instead of Dier but we know Dier will play no matter what

Honestly if we are playing a back 5 I wouldn’t love that midfield and would rather have 3 in midfield and 2 up top.
To play a two man midfield you need seriously good midfielders and I’m not sure we have players at the level of the Dembele/Wanyama axis yet

I guess Dier or Alderweireld would step forwards from defence into deep midfield, libero-style
Sissoko more important than ever to this new team
how could we play 3 in midfield with Bale Son and Kane?
i suggest 12 players like i suggested yesterday

I still reckon 433 is the way to go. It doesn't mesh with Mourinho's dour playstyle, but with a good manager who likes playing possession football with offensive wing backs, this would be facking fantastic:
....................... Lloris .......................
Doherty - Tanganga - Alderweireld - Reguilon
...................... Hojbjerg ......................
........... Ndombele .. Lo Celso ...........
........ Bale ........ Kane ........ Son ........
Yeah - my excitement over these signings is dampened every time I remember who's in charge of them.

Look on the bright side mate - when Mourinho fails to get a tune out of these players and Spurs are bottom half scraping a 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace, he'll have to go. And with a new, attacking manager, the old Spurs could come back.
Spending money on good players just increases the pressure on Mourinho to succeed. Nowhere to hide if performances don't improve.
bring back Harry Redknapp too, it will all be sorted then

Love that 11 more than any other but fear Jose would never play it. I fear we would be too vulnerable on the couter with both FBs liking to play high up the pitch and neither NDombele or GLC offering much protection..... PEH would get overun in MF. Thats the team you play against relegation fodder coming to the lane not to get beat..... Liverpool, City, United, Wolves, Leicester would rip that team to shreds in a high scorer
