just missed an absolute sitter apparently
Wolves on top again now. Can they find the winner
Silva has been impressive with his movement and hold up play
Now playing with 2 strikers, 2 wingers and 2 wingbacks. If we can't score now we surely never will.
Stoke getting pinned back now
Old style Traore there. Got through on the right and hammered the cross miles over everyone
I wonder if Nuno has put all his goal scorers on in preparation for taking penalties?
Don’t think Vinagre has impressed tonight
Stoke get the break through
86 minutes. Nice move by Stoke but the shot went straight through Ruddy
Always the same with teams that get everyone behind the ball. We still have no idea how to break them down.
Ruddy looked flappy earlier on a cross.
I know it is effectively a pre season game but very disappointing that we can't at least really pressure them. We are truly awful if a team sit back and that needs to be addressed.
Old fashioned Wolves League Cup game
Half a chance for Silva but he shoots over
It's a learning curve and I'm afraid Nuno is still very much on it.
We'll never know if Jota would have made a difference. Think he might have.
Well it answers the question about our new Portuguese stars. They can't do it on a week day evening in Stoke.
even though it was in Wolverhampton
Just a little wake up call that two of our signings so far this window are not anywhere near ready for week in week out prem football. A bright future perhaps but we are in the here and now and need to add some immediate impact players if we truly think we are going to be a top six side.
We started off brightly but the more the game went on the less we looked like scoring. Coady, Neves, Silva and occasionally Traore the best for us. Not sure Jimenez touched the ball. Not a good game to watch but the two new youngsters showed plenty of promise
