Surely you have a similar problem at Spurs as we have at Leicester (albeit a "nice-to-have" problem), in that you have an elite striker who plays when he's fit, often as a lone, central striker, and as such it's difficult to find anyone at the level you want to bring in who's willing to play number 2? Danny Ings scored 20 Premier League goals last season; why would he want to go anywhere where he's not playing week in, week out, and wouldn't be a primary selection for the big matches? Indeed, you might be suspicious of his intentions if he did.
I can actually see more point in you signing Bale, who can play either as a central striker or a winger. In fact, the prospect of facing a fit front three of Son, Kane and Bale is potentially very scary.

Danny Ings poorno he isn’t. He’s an excellent striker. Was badly managed at Liverpool.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
he wasnt badly managed at all the poor sod got back to back ACL injuries and had the best front 3 in world football infront of him when he got back. Genuinely top striker that works hard too, underrated ability wise, and a gets goals. Pretty much only reason Southampton stayed up past 2 years, they'd be mad to let him go for anything less than 50m, whats prem survival worth if he can do it again?

Yep, the ACL was literally Klopp's first training session wasn't it? And then again just as he regained fitness.
By the time he came back we'd signed Salah to complete the front 3 and we've been extremely fortunate they've not had significant injury problems.
Ings had one of the most unlucky Liverpool careers I can remember and most fans are really pleased he's doing well at Soton.
To me this says our stirker budget must be fairly respectable
I doubt even levy would have offered like 15m for ings
He’s a good striker but for the money it’ll cost I’d like someone like Dembele or Edouard
Are we honestly kidding ourselves into thinking that Ings is a great striker? I'll support if he arrives and happy for him as back up but in terms of challenging Kane, no way. Not good enough for that.

Don't see the point in some cheap dud that's happy to earn a few quid and sit on the bench..... Whoever comes in now basically has to be better than either Son or Bale would be playing as a CF.

Edouard I’m still not sure of. Hear a lot of murmurs on the Spurs forums of how we should buy him, but let’s be honest, he’s hardly up against great opposition in the Scottish Premier. You don’t have to be a superb marksman to get double figures in that league. Ings any day over him, as we know Ings is tried and tested in the premier league.
