Was at the Jaw Brew microbrewery last night next to Milngavie station. They start brewing Monday but are serving casks brought from Hillington. Just 3 tables outside and we got the last one somewhat spoiled by some works across the road with a generator running. Brews & service were excellent. Nice to support local. They had their cider and their Gin otherwise it is really just beer. Didn't go inside. Believe their capacity is only 28!
Brings me onto Brewdog. Always kinda sneered at the hipster image but to be fair the session beers are always decent - no time for their ultra strong stuff. However, got onto their botanical rum '500 cuts' recently and it is superb. Was on their website and saw they had a special edition sherry cask matured version which I ordered and is even better.
They are also on the gin bandwagon so got some for the Mrs and she is well impressed and it could be a new fav. Got their vodka too but haven't tried it yet. Anyway, very impressed. I see they are raising finance again for more expansion. I know they were very early into the US with their beers but now have hotels there and bars & breweries across the world. Great to see a Scottish biz do well.

It is mate.
Might try a snifter of that rum somewhere before buying.
Found a wee taste for that Isle of Harris gin whilst on our wee trek. Wee cargo arrived last week.
Very nice.

They did all that after getting knocked back by the dragons.
I like their stuff but agree on the extra strong stuff. That double punk is just a gimmick.
Went off them a bit recently though. Political messages on their products. Suck up stuff. Stick to what you're good at
