I think he was always due in for a great season with Everton. A bit like Mata, a bit like Payet, perhaps he’s truly at his best in both his playstyle and personality being the star player in a less good side.
West Bromwich have actually played some lovely stuff at times and despite the score, they have showed more fight than most teams that get promoted.
Rodriguez looks really good and as you said, he is a class above what they have. He will make it easier for other players to excel and will make a big difference to their position, if he stays fit. He's a joy to watch.
I was just saying on another post that I read Everton got him for free, and he took a wage cut, it's nuts that no other team made a move for him.

We agreed to only taking 4 million up front and get the rest 10 months from now for whatever reason, presumably as we are not short of cash. Hoever does look good but another unproven kid, we need match ready players not prospects all the time. So far we are down Jonny, Doc and Jota and added Marcal in terms of immediate impact. I may change my mind but lets see what the next two weeks brings transfer wise.
Rodriguez is someone I have forever heard raved about. Yet the few times I've seen him, though he looks good, he's never ever looked the hot sh !t player people have always made him out to be. Maybe he'll live up to it this year I dunno but to me he just seems one of the most over-rated footballers ever, for years of not much really, considering the hype.
