I love Ole and the direction he's taking us in.
But that defence is a SERIOUS problem of his own making.
By buying an £80m lumbering sloth he's given us no ability to deal with counter attacks or play a high line and box teams in.
Compounded further by pairing him with Lindelof who forwards bully for fun.
Then you have AWB who can't attack to save his life and tackles all game till he's knackered due to his poor positioning.
He needs to own up to it, admit he's got the defence wrong and bring back Smalling. He is head and shoulders above both our CB's.
It's the only way to salvage this season. Can't believe we're talking on those terms but it's true. Ole has a problem. Teams with pacy forwards who press us in the opening 20mins will continue to get joy time and time again like last season.
Then they will park the bus and watch Pogba and Fernandes give the ball away time and time again.

I meant in respect to this season, don’t get me wrong I don’t rate Ole but the end of last season has got himself more time surely?
