Diogo Jota Signed

Not so sure “the club finally found their wallet”.

We have been given 10 mil up front for Hoever, Jota and Thiago have cost us 9 mil up front. The rest is in instalments spread out over a few years.

The club have just spent what they’ve recouped

Jota can be excellent on occasions, very exciting when he runs at defences. Sometimes, however, he can go missing for long periods of the game. Overall, I think you have signed a really good player, with plenty of potential. Not so sure about the price though. I would have thought £35m.

Excellent signing, just the type of squad player we need

I think the reason for the higher fee is due to the small down payment and structuring of it.

I’m excited to have him at Liverpool, can’t wait to see him get out there

He has the tools to do well as he has pace, works hard and has movement off the ball which suits our way of playing.

He also has a good memory. Due to his pace he gets a lot of stick but he never forgets and pays back with interest. Don't be fooled by his size either, he's one tough cookie.

I think we got the higher fee because of the stage payments. Mate of mine reckons we only got the 4m up front, rest is on the knock. No idea if that's true.

He can be devastating on his day, but didn't really do enough for us last season and the truth is that he was 4th choice behind Neto, Podence and Traore. Hope he'll recapture his form as he always gives everything and never shirks. He's left us some great memories and we'll never forget him.

39 games without looking like scoring last season. Trips over his own feet, runs into brick walls, snatches at chances. He's very much a confidence player that scores in sprees - he'll bang in seven goals over three games and then go missing for fifteen games.

Never worth £45m and will get little game time at Liverpool once Klopp realises he's been done by Nuno.

Finally found their wallet 🙄

Have you not considered that they had all this in hand all along, that they were just working towards getting the right deal to suit the club in the long run?

I will miss Jota, and he has huge potential, but Podence and Neto are looking good

Tell your face? What sort of yuppie talk is that?

Jota is still young and potentially very good. As he has shown at Wolves on many occasions. A good alternative to Salah or Mane to give Liverpool more options up front

It’s difficult to get quality back up for mane/Salah but I must say Jota fits that bill perfectly with his age and potential

When do you want the other £45m?
