The club is likely way ahead of you. The whole time they've been putting on this Partey/Aouar, smoke and mirrors show. They'll have had the list of players they were actually intending to potentially bring to AFC. The price tag etc you've described means he's probably on it. Along with Rhafina and others we've never heard of, all costing 15-20 mil or less.

The only leverage against the board to spend big for quality, was that Auba would leave if they didn't. With that gone, you can forget about any large sum of money being shelled out to get top quality players now. Don't believe any more Partey/Aouar rubbish unless you see a contract signing, with player announced. Because form dictates it's some "cheaper alternative" and not Partey or Aouar whom will be joining Arsenal in final days of the window. Same as always.

Would he have cost less than 20 mil? If not then that's the answer to your question.

Tbf we’d all look gd on YouTube if you edit all the best bits. We need both Partey and Aouar to put a realistic top 4 challenge imo.

MF has been wretched since Cazorla got injured which was what in 2016

Current MF is the worst I have seen at the club.

For a club like arsenal not to have a single MF that can provide physicality, assist or score goals is scandalous

I reckon Aouar will come. He is an Arteta player and he would have requested his signing. Beyond that it would be a £8- 10 million buy.
Aouar and Partey will be amazing though.

The reality is a player like Xhaka shouldn't be the cornerstone of our MF. I said last season that the MF options we have would not even get into match day squads of the top 4.

Doucoure is more box to box and would have been a brilliant signing.

Have to admit, I was kinda surprised at how poor our bench still looked yesterday, despite the signings we've made this summer.

Also, what is going on with Ozil.

While Ozil still possesses the talent to play a match winning pass, his off the ball work and application will more that nullify any positives his talent will bring.
Ozil is finished at Arsenal. Given the margins we have for non homegrown players, I will not be surprised if he is not registered in the PL if we manage to get two midfielders.
Bale got fed up with golfing and sought redemption in a Spurs return. There have been offers (with full wages paid) for Ozil in Saudi Arabia and Turkey. He should move.
