Thought it showed frank is learning in that we stifled the best team in the league for so long with a makeshift team, only change I would have made would be giroud for havertz and to send alonso to some jungle. Christensen brain fart changed the game. Those errors you cannot account for.
Also not sure if you watched the game but we did not hold a high line at all, we sat deep for 89 mins of the 90. The one minute we didn’t Christensen got sent off

We're at home, with Havertz, Mount and Werner on the pitch. We shouldn't be looking to stifle but to outplay. The tactics were always going to fail at some stage as a high line to Salah or Mane is never a good idea when your defence has no pace.

Never realised Walter Mitty was on JA606!
It’s bizarre isn’t it. People contradicting themselves. All whilst our best player of last season is injured and missing some other key players. Wants us to not only go toe to toe but outplay this Liverpool side...while having a deep back line.
Well, I'm happy you are all so impressed with our performances at the start of this season. I am not. We must be better. Our players must do better and the manager has to be better too.
Didn’t say I was overly impressed. Against Brighton we were awful. Just don’t think your comments have much merit given the circumstances. You talk as if Liverpool are a mid table team

You're missing Azpi as well from that list. When fully fit he starts ahead of James. Arguably missing 4 of our back 5.

Why sign all these attacking players but not address the obvious keeper issue? I know you have one in mind but imo a new keeper should have been top priority.
I still think that at home, we have to look to have more possession. We are not good enough to defend 90 minutes against Liverpool. Our keeper and defenders are certainly not good enough on the ball to keep playing around with the ball in our own box. There is something wrong with our system that allows us to put ourselves under pressure from short goal kicks and not have any idea of how to get out.
Our strengths are in attack, that's where we can threaten teams.
You got beat 2 nil by one the greatest teams ever to win the Premier League.
I wouldn't worry too much about it.
