Assuming tonight`s game with Orient

This could work out in our favour though.

If Orient are allowed to reschedule the game in a couple of weeks, it would throw in doubt the Chelsea game in the next round(assuming we beat Orient) thus easing our fixture list next week.

So we would only play 2 games this week and next week too.

Maybe they are busy moving the game to Hackney Marshes.

I doubt Chelsea will want the game with Spurs/Orient to be moved. It is to their advantage to play Spurs, assuming they get through, in the same week as a Europa Cup game.

To be honest Orient knew the score, and yesterday should have requested the game be moved to WHL. Stupidly they thought they could still play it at home, even though the ground had been shut through Covid.

The EFL rules state if a club in unable to fulfill their fixture due to covid ect the other team will be given a bye. However the EFL are trying to help Orient help so there is every chance the fixture will be played at another date.

Until we play Orient, Chelsea can't do jack so if our game is rescheduled in two or three weeks, Chelsea and whoever will have to wait. Dunno if I am right but that seems logical.

I second the Hackney Marshes choice

I used to play there

Most likely the 4th round game will be rescheduled too causing further pile-up!

Surely it is forfeit ??

I am sure this is the case with European games. The side not able to fulfill the fixture has to forfeit, no ?

Not that I am worried about facing Orient, but they have had since the weekend to use their common sense and switch the tie to WHL. If they can't do that because they don't have enough players, then again is on them and should forfeit.

This desperate wish to not miss out on TV money, will also result in Chelsea's fixtures being effected too. Come on FA, someone make a sensible decision here.

I used to love playing on the marshes back in the day, it used to take about two hours to find the pitch.

No, that would be completely unfair on Orient, as well as the other teams that still have to play their matches. It would confirm that the "competition" is a total farce.

Why not play the Orient game next week and postpone the Chelsea game, assuming both get through.
Next round for the league cup isn’t until December? Plenty of time to re-schedule the Chelsea game

Why would it be unfair on Orient, they knew at the weekend, and could have easily requested a switch in grounds.

Think I’ve played there once Sandy about 15 years ago. Most of my Sunday league matches were around Barnet / Enfield though

Probably about 50 years since my last match over there Palmers, the changing rooms were pretty basic back then, although I think they have built some new blocks since then.
