Yup. Lived the dream.
Nothing wrong with a Rangers fan supporting Rangers.
Comes across OK on telly. Far from the worst.
Dont really get the point of the OP although i suppose it's better than GGOTW.

Think he’s decent on Open Goal but I thought he’d have a club by now.

guilty of not being good enough to play for rangers, but by running about angry and growly had a bit of support.

that's about it, i thought motherwell would snap him up.

I shouldn't laugh but years of torturous dad jokes have broken my spirit.

I'm not sure he is

He speaks very well and is entertaining

Yes when he's on the pitch he wants to win , and he's not the best

We have built a team around a guy like that

The Opengoal podcasts have shown him in a different light.

Plenty of Celtic fans have actually stated they like him after that. He's pretty funny and bounces off Slaney very well.

He's not a very good footballer, limited but made a decent career out of it.

Although he's still without a club going into October which is unbelievable

So wtf is the point of the OP?

Just out of bitterness?

Seems to be

I don't mind him. He was a Rangers fan who played for Rangers but IMO wasn't good enough for the level. He grew up where I live.

It's funny when 60k Celtic fans sing his name but one thing that I will always remember is an OF game a week or so after Motherwell scored when they should have returned the ball. Rangers did the same and the crowd were going nuts. Halliday despite it being a cauldron of hate towards him and the team had the calmness and presence of mind to stop his side from playing, demand the ball and return it to Celtic.

Sounds daft and such a small thing but IMO it was testament to him as a person that the occasion didn't override sensibility

Halliday seems like a decent enough bloke who comes across pretty well in the media to be fair.

He wasnt good enough for Rangers in the top flight but he did a great job for us in the Championship.

Good luck to the boy

He came across pretty well on Sportscene and Clyde phone in the other night. Seems a decent guy. Also as call sign states the incident where he ensured the ball was returned is tantamount to his character in such an intimidating atmosphere.

I would like to know also what is the point of the article although as Magnum said at least it isn't the cringeworthy GGOTW

Maybe the OP is asking what he likes as he is bringing him a present?

Great point to bring up. Sporting gestures like this should always be highlighted. Rivalry is one thing, but not giving the ball back like Motherwell did is a joke. Well said Call Sign
