How about we shut down Celtic and Rangers and spread their money, fans etc across the rest of the clubs in Scotland? We have been needing a restructure for years to change this 2 team set up. Simple solution is to get rid of them and improve the other teams to make it more competitive throughout the whole structure. I get some people will be upset about losing Rangers and Celtic but it's for the good of the game up here. It might force people to support their local team instead of lazily following the old firm teams. Sounds like a good plan all round.

Even Timmy is a better wum and tgat ain’t saying much.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not wumming. In general it would be much better if people in Arbroath supported their local team instead of 90% of them supporting the old firm via the TV. The two team structure needs to change

We don't need 4 leagues?
How arrogant for a fan of a big club to say that.
Tell that to the communities for whom their club is the centre piece.
Maybe you're happy sitting on your backside watching Sky and eating crisps but some people actually go to support their local team every week, their children use the facilities during the week and the club is actively involved in schools and the community.
But fack it, let's let them die because the Premier League is okay.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm talking about Scotland btw.
We absolutely don't need 4 leagues, attempts to restructure are hamstrung by the smaller clubs.
These clubs can still be key in their communities in an amateur set up much the same way highland league clubs are.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'd be interested to hear the view of a fan from one of those clubs. I doubt very much they agree.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Of course they wouldn't they live off the bigger clubs.

You support your Dad's team not your local team.
When fans are allowed back in the grounds, a good rule would be that you're only allowed to travel no more than 10 miles to attend a match. It would limit the spread of the disease whilst helping people discover and support their local club.

Why is it either or? I regularly go to watch my local team play (outside of Covid times) but also watch Celtic on the telly. Given it is rare that both are happening at the same time due to restrictions on games on TV at 3pm Saturday, it’s easy to manage.

My local club are ICT. A Frankenstein club, two rivals merged together, not much to like about that.
Though i do go to Highland derby games more because i hate county than i like Caley though
That or semi finals and finals to get pashed with pals but the reality is i'll never feel for them what i feel for Rangers.

I'm going to play devil's advocate here.
Isn't it a good thing if we lose some clubs in Scotland? Lots of them are holding us back.
Two professional leagues then an amateur set up would be beneficial for our game.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Wouldn't be just a few all of them will cease to exist by March.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I get that but even with one less division there is more money for the other teams. We don't need 4 leagues.

Dont think its morally right these clubs are shut down by the government when they done nothing wrong.
