"But don't be fooled into thinking Judge isn't canny when it comes to dealing with United's coffers.
In 2019, he haggled with Crystal Palace's Steve Parish over a deal for Wan-Bissaka, initially low-balling the Eagles chairman with a £40m offer.
And he did the same with Daniel James and Harry Maguire, before finally getting his man."
Conveniently forgetting to mention that he lowballed the clubs before paying exactly what they wanted weeks later!
This is the worst piece of football propaganda I have read in a long time.

Oh right, yeah. It's just so transparent though. Do they honestly think anyone will buy it?

I wouldn’t buy anything Custis writes. It seems you have.
He didn’t write it. As per the title of the article, I believe he briefed it to his former colleagues.
Won't click on the link because it's the S*n, but from what I read there that is really pathetic. If someone in the background needs the PR machine to justify their role it means they aren't very good at it.
I must have missed whatever it is you are upset about.
why bother bringing our attention to an article in The Sun? And what has Neil Custis got to do with it? It is written by a fantasist called Jon Boon.
It said it was 'Jon Boon' who wrote the article.
The Sun's sports desk Ace Reporter Jon Boone's resume, includes:
Formerly Senior Reporter at the National Enquirer in Los Angeles
Surely it’d be easier for Ed to sack judge than take all this flack from the media?
We over pay for players and we cannot shift any of our deadwood.
Does he handle contracts too?

No, the fact that Neil Custis is clearly trying to garner sympathy for his employer in such a transparent way, by planting this story with his former employers.

Because it paints Judge as a good negotiator. It literally says he’s a shrewd operator for offering low figures for players, but fails to mention that we ended up paying exactly what the selling clubs wanted. That is not shrewd. That’s just wasting time to get the player in.
