If we don’t sign any more players, we really need to a) find some form quick (October’s games are tough) and b) pray that the majority of our first XI stay fit for the whole season, which we know never happens at United!

United's definition of value has been in the fritz for a number of years now, even in the SAF days.

Can't tell you who but this comes from a staff member at the club.

So when we sign a player, you will go hide under a rock for a season?

Can ed be the man we know he can be and just throw 500 million pounds and 99 pence at Sancho, just for good measure?

Ed's definition of value is spending less than £100m on an English player.

It's crazy that he thought 80 million was ok for Maguire but won't cough up an extra few million for what it appears to be, one of the best attackers in the bundesliga.

Rdd knows Ed?

With this kind of inside knowledge combined with your great insight into the game I reckon you could be one of the top highly rated football journalists out there.

OP, understand that you don't want to reveal your source, but how about this?

We have a guess and if we're right, you just reply with a wink. Sound okay?

I have decided to give RDD the benefit of the doubt and took his info as gospel, so went upstairs and killed myself. Curse you Ed.

Do you trust your source inside the club, is he good for this kind of info?

Disappointing news if true.

Fair enough, hope he's wrong anyway.

Couple of others in the past have had inside sources on here, maybe they work in the same department.
