Maybe he already hit his peak. His general level of play never really improved and it’s now showing up.
Imagine selling Dele and keeping dross like Sissoko and Sanchez

Players that are happy not being in the team, on high salaries for their quality and can work hard in training. These guys are impossible to shift, Dele is still marketable
I don’t want Deli to leave. But if this manager can’t get out of him what our last could, it’s probably best for the player to go.

I think he’s just lazy and arrogant.
Being arrogant is fine if you can back it up, but he hasn’t over the past two years.

Think it’s all gone a bit toxic Billy.
This again a rumour started by one of the best midfielders ever or so he thinks, Ray Parlour!
It surfaced at exactly the same time as some fans thought Dele is left out deliberately by Jose and yet Jose was only doing what other clubs managers do, drop players when they perform?
It also shows that our players are sought after, and those trolls from other clubs would dearly love some of our players for their clubs, bur they will never admit to it.
It also shows that Spurs performing where they should be with that talent we have.
Dele is an integral part of the squad. We have so many fixtures, coming thick and fast, that Jose will leaver certain players at certain times on the bench or oven out of the first team.
We are adding to the squad to ensure depth of quality in the team, and that will always mean players will be rotated.
It's pathetic of some of the trolls to make up stories about us, like that link to Lingard!
What a pathetic non story that was!
United had to come out and clarify there was never any such discussions with Spurs and Lingard, ut it was started by vlogger and ran with by trolls!
Genuine stories like Milik and Skriniar are being diverted to fake stories because Jose is big news and big news sells!
Now to real news, Inter are looking at Skriniar replacements, and some say they are ready to drop the asking price.

Apparently Inter are interested in Sissoko so could be used in the deal

I think Jose has handled this one well. He has had a free pass for 2/3 years despite being incredibly inconsistent.
I'm not bothered if he stays or goes. For me, he is a squad player now and should only feature sparingly unless his performances dramatically improve.
I hope that he gets a season long loan at a decent club and comes back with a better attitude and refreshed
You need really understand what kind of manager Jose is or is not. He is not a manager who is going to sit there and listen to your problems. Can you give the team 100% - yes or no?
If not, why not?
Jose doesn't take passengers.
When he took over at Spurs, he dropped Ndombele and the player was nowhere to be seen.
The gutter press, all of them, were linking Ndombele to all sorts of rumours including he is leaving, he was used as a makeshift weight in a deal, and he is not wanted by Jose...All sorts of fake rumours
The same is in this case with Dele. He is a great player and an important part of the team. Jose knows he needs the player to find his form. Sometimes, dropping the player and helping him to get his rhythm and focus is all the player needs.
Now, it is up to Dele to react the way Ndombele has done.
Make no mistake, Dele is still an great player and in big games, he will be one of the key players for us, as much as Kane, Son, Bale and any other player.
A spell o the sidelines may help him out , look at Ndomebele , i seriously did not think this lad was ever gonna play for us again after his first season, he has played the last 3 games and is starting to show us what he can do in small doses , hopefully Dele can as well.

Very true.
I was not convinced woth Ndombele and I was slating him here, and yet the way the club handled him seems to have worked in helping him to gain confidence, look sharper and more importantly, look interested in games!
Was ahead of Son in the peak Poch years and since then Son has gone forwards and Dele has gone backwards. Clearly doesn't take his football seriously enough as shown by his flirtation with social media, and the fact he's been called out for his poor training. Started off so promisingly but I think he let fame get to his head. I mean he's been on a slow decline since he got into the England team pretty much.
He's lost his place in England and at Spurs and we've not seen enough response to that from him in all honesty, so what makes people think there's going to be more to come? Ndombele is different because he was coming into a new country and league with a big price tag on his head, and to my knowledge doesn't have an obsession with social media and fashion.

I was discussing this with phenom yesterday
Absolutely I think spurs should sell but problem is no one will pay what levy will demand
Based on his last 18 months you'd do well to get 30 million for him.

Lamela should have been sold and replaced a few seasons ago. Never really been good enough and I think that's why people don't talk about him like they do Dele, because Dele used to be really good and people expect a lot more from him.
Like I said in the other Dele article, I'd be happy to keep him as squad material, but then if a good offer comes in, I'd be just as content to sell and get what we can for him.
Lamela is too comfortable
I was hoping he'd have been sold this window and we upgraded. Doesn't look like happening.
I think for the club and for himself a new start for him to re-vitalise his career would be the right thing all round
