It's a good result, bad performance but signs are there. Liverpool were laughed at for a comeback draw against WBA years ago. Chelsea probably won't challenge this season but it takes time to get to the level City/Liverpool etc are at.
It took city and Liverpool a season or two of development and learning curves. Chelsea won't be any different in my opinion.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Liverpool and City both addressed their issues properly though. There was a time when Liverpool were at a similar stage to Chelsea where their issues were at goalkeeper and centre half.
They bought Alisson and Van Dijk. Chelsea signed 36 year old Thiago Silva and some random keeper from France.

We do and I’ve never said otherwise but my point is everyone is playing down expectations for United this season because of our lack of business while bigging up because of theirs.
They were also very poor against Brighton.
They’ve signed some good players but they’ve made that mistake of signing too many at once. It’s going to take a good while til they gel
Yeah tbh it'll take more to get to liverpool/City's level but there should be some good development this season or next.
I think you should go to bed with a cup of cocoa .

Not even too many at once but all their big signings are in areas where they were already pretty strong.

I don't care about Chelsea. I'm slightly concerned about our defence.
2 games in and we've already conceded 5 goals.
We need to tighten up our defence to stand any chance of progression.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I agree but last season we had the 3rd best defence in the league conceded 3 more than Liverpool. Not time to panic just yet. However Chelsea were shipping goals last season too.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That is true. And tbf, over the last few seasons defensively in stats we've been decent. The attack has let us down bar second half of last seson.
However, every season seems to become an obstacle of sorts to overcome. And to stem the flow of vulnerability at the back is a reminder that we musn't overlook it.
Too soon to be judging Chelsea - even more than it is United. Lots of new players to get up to speed. I’m pretty sure they’ll get top four. Us, without signings... less confident. But it’s very early days.
Liverpool and City both had world class coaches as well. Chelsea don’t.
With regard to our form last season it’s not always indicative of what we’ll do this one. This is Manchester United, a new season means new problems.
The worry is that we’ve flogged the team to death at the end of last season, and now coming back they’re suffering a hang over and have had terrible preparation for the season.
We’ve had unsustainable periods of form under Ole before, where they’ve then been burnt out, we’ve suffered injuries and then the team has struggled to put performances together. The schedule we’ll have this season will potentially contribute to these problems again.

It is quite soon but they do seem to have the same issues as last year.
We're not going to be the finished article in 3 games.
Still without several 1st teamers - Mendy, Chilwell, Pulisic and Ziyech.
Obviously need to improve defensively which is worrying on a managerial aspect as we're still conceding similar goals since Lampard's reign begun.

You don’t think making like 7 first team signings may cause issues of fluidity in the side?
And I’m not talking about it causing issues for you so far, that’s just early season inconsistency which can happen to anyone. Im talking for the remainder of this season, trying to bed in that many players will take a good while.
chelsea have shown weakness in their opening 3 matches at LB and GK, but they've signed new players for each position, they just haven't been able to play them yet.
could be a month or more before all their new signings are fully up to speed, wouldn't read too much into their form so far.

We definitely need another attacker. Even 2 if possible.
Also a left back who is good going forward would be a welcome addition.
We were poor, we weren't even as good as poor in the first half and it was dissapointing, for me only because I expected us to gel from the off. High hopes but you have to aim high. We will gel though and we will improve.
We do, but the issues go beyond just transfers.

I think a right winger, left back and centre back are all needed.
But i think you’ll only just get Telles done.
OP.
Early doors,.innit.
Top 4, CL to come, league and CL winners.
It's tough at the top.
I think we’ll panic buy a player for the right side of attack as well.
