Apart from Smalling I think we are stuck with the rest until the summer
Shame about Smalling, he's a far better defender than Lindelof, his passing is a joke though.

We should be seriously in for Upamecano, from what I’ve seen.
If we didn’t also have Tuanzebe and Mengi coming through, I’d also say we should be going after Badiashile. But we need a player who’s ready to go straight into the starting XI if we’re buying a CB. Same at LB and RW. We don’t need depth/cover there, we need upgrades.
Although we need to see Tuanzebe fit for an extended period this season. Otherwise I think he’ll miss his chance.

It's a shame Tuanzebe is a sicknote otherwise I'd be pretty content with CBs, I'd even accept Bailley's occasional brainfart moments as a back up CB.

Imagine someone like Pogba controlling things in CM and setting the tempo, I really miss a Scholes or Keane type of player.
Do you think a lot of our flashes are down to how we encourage teams to pile on pressure by relinquishing possession so easily? A lot of that starts in CB positions and in CM areas.
Ole is trying to create a side that is not over reliant on counter attacks and is somewhat possession based but for me we don't look after the ball as well as some of the best possession based sides like Man City, for example. We just don't have the same quality of players for starters and secondly the work rate is well below par. City players, whilst great on the ball, work equally hard to get the ball back when possession is relinquished.
