It was bad enough last season with the goals disallowed with the stupid rule. Not content with that, they decided to tale it to another level.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
they stopped that now cause havertz handballed it for chelseas equaliser yesterday and the let it stand? so is that one done with? theyve moved on to penalise defending teams instead? Prob wont change this as it adds goals where as last season handball was ruling out goals.

Theyll prob get rid of offside next, more goals

I thought it was a good decision. Arm up in the air, penalty. Spurs players of all players should know this after the CL final. Bloody had Spurs in my bet too. Poor finishing to blame for the draw.

Who would be the best goal hanger if there were no offside rule? Sounds like a job someone like Fellaini was born for.

My only conclusion is that whoever has decided this crazy rule has done it as a marketing exercise, on the basis that they want more goals and more drama in the PL.

Perhaps because of the financial impact of Covid and they want greater viewing figures...
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It’ll go the other way for me though!

Maybe plastic fans from abroad will like it but the live blood fans wil turn off.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Yeah possibly

But I don’t want spurs to benefit from ridiculous decisions like this as much as I’m angry about it being given against us.

It needs scrapping and all goals voided off.

If you're an attacking player, you may as well just try to flick it onto a defenders arm now in the penalty area. Guaranteed penalty.

This annoyed me more than the pen. He literally jumps in to Højbjerg after losing the ball

Or at the very least taking lame chest height shots into a crowded box knowing you've got a chance of it hitting something

Gurantee if that was against Liverpool or United the ref would never have stopped play.

Rule is exclusively enforcing arms behind back in box all the time when facing the ball

Very difficult to adapt

To be frank - Dier had his back to the ball - never knew where the ball was ...and his momentum had his arm go up me think

Honestly feel disgusted after that. Should probably be happy a rival has dropped points but it’s the sick feeling that our game is being ruined.

After being victims of this disgrace of a rule for two weeks in a row now, would Spurs fans prefer to see the rule change immediately, or at the end of the season when all teams will have suffered the same fate?

I genuine would not want us to benefit from that. It’s daft

Exactly mate, he would have lost balance completely had his arms been by his side.

It's mental

Another issue: why wasn't there extra added on time to account for it??? The incident occurred in the 92nd minute, the penalty was taken in the 97th. So the game was delayed by 5mins. We had 5 mins originally added on. Wtf??
