I agree with this. Targets aren't realistic, areas that need to be strengthened are not well identified (though it is blatantly obvious) and alternatives aren't lined up. I have given up on this transfer window but, come Christmas or end of season, one thing I don't want hear is for fans to say Ole deserves another chance as the club didn't properly back him.

I don't think the club are up for spaffing £100m+ on the players you're demanding in the current economic climate.
I really don't think they're sitting there saying "Sancho's price is £110m, we're fecking loaded and could pay double that, but Ole wants him so he can't be any good".

That's how I read it first. But knowing RDD to be the wum that he is, I realised his mistake.
Whatever way you cut it, we need to be better at identifying quality players, better at coaching them to their full potential and better at getting the best out of them on the pitch. We have neither the time, and more importantly, the money to continue as we have been.
