His problem is his insistence to buy defenders who look good on the ball like Stones and Ake, rather than defenders with the ability to defend.

I actually think Ake is decent but not the level City need.

Should play Laporte up front then..

He’s saying the attackers they needed aren’t available. Which is true.

Pep and Rodri taking this defeat very gracefully.

Stones was before Guardiola joined, the criticism is a valid one but it’s Begiristain rather than Guardiola.

If only they had a youth team, surely they’ve got a CF among them that can’t be too shabby and could be a focal point?

We had injuries, that’s how Rashford got his first start from LVG.

This joker will have spent £400,000,000 on defenders alone over the last 4 years if they buy Diaz. 💷😂

They brought that Liam Delap on in the second half. But he’s only 17, didn’t really get a kick against Leicester’s cb’s. Can’t expect everyone to be as good as players like Rashford and Greenwood when they breakthrough. Especially at a club where youth players don’t get a chance to excel.

Fair enough, I didn’t see the second half had to go out, wouldn’t have expected that.

Really bad luck to have Aguero and Jesus out at the same time tbf to them.

Yeah, no Bernardo either. I think he’d have helped as he’s better at finding, and creating, space than Mahrez.

Just give Pep another 800 billion. Can't you see this mans in pain🤭

more likely to get a 200m cheque in the morning than sacked for another new back 4.

You mean give him some new players. He doesn’t do the transfers, Begiristain does.

Yep really struggling isn't he. I reckon he will.be off end of this season and take it easy in the Italian league with juve.

Let's be honest, Pep inherited all City's best, and most influencial players, and they have suffered as a team as they have left the club.
He ain't been great in the transfer market.

I'm not so sure it's about talent as much as attitude. I think of Sterling scratching Gomez, Bernardo running his mouth and refusing to clap, Rodri's comments, Peps comments. Like they're owed something for attacking and therefore leaving gaps so large you can drive eight loses through it. I don't mind a bad loser really but it just all seems a bit petulant tbh.

I love Pep, I enjoy watching City but I'm not sure whether he's over thinking things sometimes. He's getting done pretty regularly these days.

what did Rodri say?

posted on 27/9/20

oh lol, he sounds as petulant as Bernardo Silva. Did you see who De Bruyne voted for POTS too? Ings

Bunch of mugs at that club, Arteta screaming tactical fouls in documentary, singing about Liverpool fans getting stabbed after they won the league.

They need to sort it out.

What, that play? Yes, of course. He doesn’t select the players they buy though.

Beyond this result with the injuries, something does seem amiss with Pep and city. It is a reasonably common occurrence to see them turned over.

Maybe it’s with them attempting to reshape the spine with kompany and Silva gone and Fernandinho and aguero aging?

Whatever it is, it’s fascinating to see how pep faces it. I hope he sticks around beyond this season to oversee their rebuild as he’s not done that too much before.

I’m sure he has plenty of sway in it though Melts.

You can’t tell me Laporte or Bernardo weren’t Pep choices
