it was a forearm hes tried to fend him off when not looking and got it wrong, no intention. Seen reds for less but think yellow was fair. Dont wanna see players being sent off for that kind of thing, manes not that type of player, clearly accidental.
deliberately made contact with Tierney’s face.
Well this is the point, he extended his arm to make contact with Tierney and he did. He made contact with his shoulder and his forearm slipped up to make minor contact with his face.
It wasn’t deliberate!
Another spurs butt hurt their rival lost. Strange times
VAR review everything, including the jota goal!
That`s a red card all day long, but don`t expect the referee or VAR to send off a Pool player, another clear case of refereeing favouritism being shown towards the Mousers
Wouldn’t say nailed on red, but I’ve seen similar less than that been given red. Surprised it wasn’t looked at closer than it was
As a neutral, that is clearly a red card.. Looking at the player, raised arm, hits opponent in the face
Clear as day and got away with it
Jota also handles the ball when controlling the ball before scoring, also ignored by the referee and VAR

That means nothing, whether they review it or not, they are not going to come up with a decision that hurts Pool.
lol that was never a red. Keep crying!

Can’t rule against professional victims, you never hear the end of it.
Another player would have got sent of for the TAA studs up tackle as well. Mane's was a straight red in anybody's book.

I thought it was very strange how little they 'looked into the handball... most incidents like that take 2 or 3 minutes of every angle being scrutinised in slo mo. My point is the consistency isn't there. Was it that obvious that it didn't touch his arm???
Mane should have been sent off.

We know.
Because there is always a different letter of the law for team that is dominating at the top.
Referees won't go against them. Saw it plenty of times with Fergie's teams. Is just a fact of life in football.
There is no 'letter of the law' for these incidents.
It comes down to opinion.

SENDING-OFF OFFENCES
A player, substitute or substituted player who commits any of the following offences is sent off:
denying the opposing team a goal or an obvious goal-scoring opportunity by a handball offence (except a goalkeeper within their penalty area)
denying a goal or an obvious goal-scoring opportunity to an opponent whose overall movement is towards the offender's goal by an offence punishable by a free kick (unless as outlined below)
serious foul play
biting or spitting at someone
violent conduct
using offensive, insulting or abusive language and/or gestures
receiving a second caution in the same match
entering the video operation room (VOR)
A player, substitute or substituted player who has been sent off must leave the vicinity of the field of play and the technical area.
Violent conduct is part of the law. Elbowing an opposition player in the face is violent conduct Winston, unless you think it isn`t. In which case you are out of sync with the laws, so suggest you ask to get them changed. Maybe saying any player can thump an opposition player in the face, and not be penalised.
